Great dog hotel
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Winston-Salem Hanes MallWe had a good stay here on our way further south. The hotel room was clean and well furnished. Upon opening our room door there was a slight odor of previous dogs but nothing too bad. The $50 pet fee is a bit steep. I think it should be $50 with $25 refundable if there are no problems caused by your dog.

Best dog and human friendly hotel
Aloft Columbus WestervilleWe stayed here with our dog Remy and were so impressed with the staff and the hotel. We were checked in with a special treat bag for Remy. The staff were friendly, helpful and patient. There were quite a few dogs staying yet we heard no barking, whining or noise. We highly recommend this hotel for all dog-traveling people.

Best latte
Java Central Coffee HouseGreat coffee shop with ample outdoor dog-friendly seating. Our dog was even offered a bowl of water. The latte was the most well-made latte I have had in America. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
