We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Cambridge, MD over the weekend for my son's wedding, and the staff made a stressful moment into one I'll be thankful for forever. Michelle at the front desk checked us in and walked us through everything, and she let us know she'd be on through the night. I'm so glad she was.

That night, our 110-pound Cane Corso puppy, Treyce, got out of his kennel, opened the hotel room door, and walked right out of the building (he's heavy enough to trigger the automatic door). Some guests spotted him and told Michelle, who called me immediately. When my husband couldn't find him outside, I was horrified.

Michelle didn't just make the call and leave it there. She stayed with it, going through the camera footage to figure out which way he'd gone and rallying guests to help look. Two guests who had first seen him even tried to lure him with hamburgers. Everyone was out calling his name.

We were all outside calling his name, initially I could not see him, but then Trace heard my voice and started back toward me across Ocean Highway, thankfully with no cars coming. I was in tears, and I grabbed his collar and held on. I couldn't have been more relieved.

Thank you, Michelle, and thank you to the guests who jumped in to help a stranger find her fur baby. We secured his kennel with D-rings for the rest of our stay (he's too smart for his own good), and the remainder of the weekend went smoothly. The hotel was a wonderful home base for our family during a big weekend, and I'd gladly stay here again.
