Do not bring your pet here for surgery

Please do not take your pet here for surgery. This was our first experience with Hollymeade. Our Anatolian Shepherd had a growth on his belly we had examined. The vet said it was just superficial, nothing to worry about but we could still do cosmetic surgery to remove. We decided not to put our dog through that so declined. A month later, the growth started changing so we went back to opt in for the surgery. The clinic demanded we go through all of the expensive blood tests and pre op procedures again, even though it had only been 30 days since the last tests. At this point we are almost at $1000. We scheduled the surgery and requested a biopsy. Turns out, our dog had a mass tumor that was cancerous, so actually NOT just superficial as previously declared. Just days after surgery, the incision busted open and got infected. I drove back to the clinic crying on the phone with the tech the whole way, demanding they fix my dog. Fast forward to the end of the story to spare many more details, Beorn has healed after a lot of time and pain and antibiotics. We later received a letter from the clinic stating they would no longer accept our business. They "broke up with us" so passively aggressive as if sending a text message to your ex. They didn't even have the decency to call and say we are not a good fit, which I already knew. I had no intention of ever using their practice again. All costs in, we paid about $6000 just to remove a growth on Beorn's belly. They charge for EVERYTHING. If your dog sneezes, be prepared to pay for the tissue. Avoid this practice. They care about money, not your pets.
