We had a great stay here. They’re right on the lake lots of grass for the dogs a deck with a fire pit and a table where we had a picnic one night and really close to an off leash dog park.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Courthouse Inn. All the vintage antiques and attention to detail made for a lovely escape.

There was definitely some muddy sections in the spring during our visit. However, the dogs loved being able to explore the big park with trees and a trail.

A lovely park like setting with upon and ducks. And the pineapple cider was delicious.

Happened to be close to where we were so stopped for 45 min play / walk. They had separate fenced pens for training and a large off leash area beside a busy road but fully fenced. Could have used some trees for shade.

loved watching the boats coming and going while we enjoyed a delicious dinner.

was so happy with Tidal Cafe. It was my first time visiting and went specifically for the dog friendly patio. They had about 8 tables at an extended street side patio. we had about a 10 min wait for a table and a steady stream of people and dogs dining. All the dogs got their own water bowl and half a piece of bacon and lots of pats. Humans were equally as spoiled with amazing food and great friendly service.

a favorite lunch stop when shopping 5th street in courtenay. I don’t usually have Jazz but will bring her by again soon for a photo on the deck.

super friendly closed in patio for pooches, treats and water bowls provided. food was good too.

we enjoyed some Prosecco and a doggy class on dogs and heat

jazzy (and the humans) all enjoyed icy cold beverages on the patio. appies were yummy. service was friendly.

had a yummy ice cream, picked up some apple juice. Leashed dogs are allowed in outside areas.

We stopped on our way west to Tofino as it’s convenient and yummy. The dog friendly tables mean I can get the dog out of the car which is necessary as Port Alberni can be smoking hot. I’ve been a few times and it’s never disappointed. This was the first time I brought the dog, they had a water bowl out for her. Food was great and service was friendly. We’ll be back again.

we had the opportunity to visit for a patio dog class called pooches and Prosecco. It was lots of fun and I’d totally do it again.
lots of friendly dogs and plenty of fenced area for dogs to be free. more trees are being planted to break up the big grassy fields. there is also access to the river for swimming.

Had a lovely breakfast on the patio. I enjoyed the Bacon Benny and Jazz enjoyed sharing.
Enjoyed a refreshing beer and delicious snacks to share. Patio was super dog friendly and popular. They seemed to know the local dogs by name and brought treats and water bowls for the pooches.

they have awesome pizza and a great vibe. right now with covid they also have a much larger patio.
