Best pizza I have had in a long time.
Bert's Bar and GrillThe pizza was a hit with our group two visits in a row. The bacon wrapped scallops are AMAZING. The patio is dog friendly. There are docks with fish food vending machines underlie at night. Most relaxing meal i have had with a dog since hitting "the island".
Shade or no shade. You puck.
Barkingham Dog ParkNice LONG park for ball chasers. We visited 3 times during our week in the area. The one day with lots of people in the park, the dogs and people werent very social. When there were just one or two of us it was much more friendly for an "outsider". We were lucky enough to meet a young full breed great dane (mine is a 75lb mix). The thought she was looking in a fun house mirror. Large park with lots of shaded areas.
Huge. Great on a cooler day.
Dog Park at Northeast Regional ParkThis park is HUGE, which is great for my ball addicted runner. Unfortunately if it is hot it is REALLY hot. The dogs want to play in mud puddles by the water bubbler or lay under the agility equipment. This park is a dream on a cool day but only good for a 20-30 min visit on a hot day due to no shade.
Popular with locals. Quirky
PEAR Park Dog ParkThis is the first time I have been to a dog park where people treat the enclosures like their own backyard. When walking up to the large dog yard, the two people in the yard started yelling and running toward the gate and their dog and said their dog wasnt ok with us coming in the yard please go t ok another yard. It is my opinion that if your pet is not social they should be home IN YOUR YARD. I bring my dog to the park to play with other dogs and socialize when she isnt going to daycare. Very odd that they feel this is normal as it happened al ml ost everytime we visited over a three week period. We are from illinois so we will vacation closer to a more "normal" park next year.
Great food.
Beef and Barrel Restaurant & LoungeThe patio was nice with a sandy area for "business". The food was amazing!! The best part was is wasnt too salty. I travel with my 75yo dad as well as 2yo great dane mix. Dad is on low salt diet and when I commented on the food they said many of their frequent diners prefer to salt to their own taste. This was a match made in heaven. The BEST onion rings we have EVER had!!
Comfortable inside
Red Roof Inn MurfreesboroThe outside of the building had garbage and debris. Disappointing because the room and inside of the hotel was clean and cozy. Continental breakfast was a little light but sufficient
