Small Dog Park
South of the BorderI was surprised there was a dog park here, but my dogs liked getting out of the car for even a few minutes. My biggest concern was there wasn’t a lock on the gate. I was afraid the dogs would push it open and go into a rather busy parking lot. The grass was still long, so I don’t think it is a seasonal thing.
Lives up to it’s ruff name!
Ruff House Dog Parkabsolutely no shade. it is just a fenced off block to exercise your pet. One of my dogs can’t handle the heat so we had to pass on this park!
Quaint (but hard to find) dog park
Dog Park at Goyne ParkThere are only two dog park signs in the place. One at the entrance of the overall park, and the other one half way down a walking path. The only way I found it was I saw someone walking a their dog in the direction of the park. Once there, my dogs enjoyed themselves. Since everyone was gone from both parks, we went into the big dog park and they boys had a run! Only wish there was grass in the park instead of woods chips and dirt!
Dog Friendly and Great Breakfast
Big Bad BreakfastThere is a reason there is a line queing up at Big Bad Breakfast. The food is great, the waitstaff (especially Jason) is fabulous, and the patio is so pet friendly. went there with my two pugs and throughly enjoyed our breakfast experience there.
Good Food And Friendly Staff
Harbor City DinerWE stopped there during a long holiday weekend. The building looks like an old Pizza Hut that was taken over by the diner. We were greeted by a friendly waitress. She brought out drinks and ice water for our dogs. We both had eggplant parmigiana and we loved it. The eggplant was sliced thin and lengthwise. Would definitely go if we are back in the Melborne area.
Friendly But Not Exciting Park
Dog Park at Crest Lake ParkBrought my two dogs with me. Didn’t bring any poop bags. They had a plastic bag collection inwhich you could donate or take one for your furry friends cleanup. The park itself is OK. A few benches but nothing really outstanding except nice people.
Spacious Park But not Fancy
Logan Gate Dog ParkPark was clean. There were two covered picnic tables, one out in the elements and a bunch of benches. Not a lot of shade trees but depending on time of day you can find a shaded spot. They provide a water spigot and poop bags. A exceptionally large area for small (under 25 lbs) dogs. They are usually slighted in dog parks to a small corner of the park. Not here! Big dogs have an equally large area to run.
Wonderful Dog Friendly Restaurant
ColumbiaOn the bay with beautiful views, Columbia continues to be a great Tampa Bay tradition. I have always enjoyed visiting Columbia whenever we have visited the west coast of Florida. When we arrived our two dogs were given a bowl of cool water. We enjoyed the food, they enjoyed the atmosphere. Be warned, the patio looks out on a pedestrian pier and there are lots of people walking by. If you have a hyper dog, they may be very excited with this. Other than that the staff is friendly and attentive and the restaurant views of the water are magnificent. Would definitely return.
