Best Hotel Yet!
The Riverside Hotel BW Premier CollectionWe were a little nervous since the hotel looked so nice - and it is! But check in was great! They even have house made dog treats behind the front desk for the pups (also warm chocolate chip cookies for the humans)!
The rooms were great (they are renovating as of 2/22/20) and you can walk right out to a grass area and there’s a great trail very close by!
Yes, more expensive than a Motel6, but the room is very comfortable and nicely appointed. So I consider it very worth it and so do the pups!
Friendly Locals
Baxter's Dog ParkWe’d been on a road trip and needed to let the girls - two rescues - stretch their legs after two days of trucking along. We stopped by here and they have three great areas:
1. Small dogs
2. Large dogs
3. Everyone
Everyone was super friendly and when they heard one of our dogs was reactive (she was out walking with my husband while our other one was in playing at the park), they were super nice and said “bring her in and use the other area! Worst that’s going to happen is she’s going to bark, nothing wrong with that!” So we used the other area no one was in and both our girls got to play! It was great!
They also have good parking and tons of poop bags available!
