There are only two dog friendly hiking trails in the park. I understand that because of the large population of black bears in the area, it's a safety issue. But it does make it difficult to explore any of the park if you have your dog. So even though technically there are two dog friendly areas, overall the park isn't dog friendly.

The staff were very welcoming of our dogs....the birds maybe weren't as thrilled! The gardens are beautiful. We got about half way through before our big dog, a lab, got a little too interested in some of the birds. Luckily it was cool out so we took the dogs back to the car then finished the tour. Just be aware that there is an aviary you walk through, then there is also a place where you feed and interact with about 30 birds who are on open perches. That's when we opted out with our lab. If your dog ignores the birds (like our terrier did) you'll be ok. All in all a fun time in a beautiful setting.

We went out with Captain Tara and our two dogs. What a great trip! We saw dolphins, then went to a sandbar where the dogs could swim. They even had life vests for them! They also had a bowl and plenty of water, and they gave them tags for their collars. Captain Tara was awesome at helping get the dogs on and off the boat. She also watched them while we snorkeled. It was an all around awesome experience. Highly recommended!!!

The wood fired pizza here is great, as is their eggplant stack. The patio is dog friendly and they bring water for your pups. The patio is shaded and has fans. The service is also good. We enjoyed eating here twice on our trip.

Small friendly place that is dog friendly and has a private beach which is also dog friendly. One of my favorite places to stay with our dogs!

This hotel welcomes pets with no extra charge. They are very friendly and have a large grassy area to walk pets. They are also across the street from two parks.

Ended up here due to a mistake with the booking service, and I don't think they told the hotel we would have dogs when they booked us here, even though I specified pet friendly. When we arrived, I was given a lecture about cleaning up after my dogs, told to keep my dogs off the furniture and beds, and also told to keep both my dogs in one room (we had two rooms) so they wouldn't have to clean as much. Had been looking forward to sitting on the deck but ended up staying in the room and hushing the dogs every time they made a noise. Didn't feel welcome at all!
