Only dog park in town
87 Restaurant & Dog ParkFound out about 11 months ago that our town finally got an off leash (fenced) dog park and had to check it out. Sorta on the smaller side, as you can't really have too many big dogs there without it being crowded, but definitely big enough for a good few small dogs to run around and play with each other. Definitely great if you're passing through and want to let your dogs stretch their legs at the very least.
It has bags and a trash can to pick up after your pups if you forgot your own bags and a spot to get water for them as well. The restaurant the park belongs to has a dog friendly area as well (from what I've been told at least), and there's a good selection of food trucks right beside the park as well. So definitely a great spot to stop at if you want to eat as well.
Overall this is a really great park, though not a well known one just yet, so you may not see many people there at the moment, but hopefully soon it'll be buzzing with activity.
Would probably be best to go in the morning or late afternoon, as the park is pretty much a gravel area, but with some protection on your pup's paws, they should be good during the middle of the day.
Great location, Dog absolutely loves it
Danny Jackson Bark Dog ParkBack when I lived in Houston this was the dog park right across the street from my apartment. My dog couldn't get enough of the park and made it his mission to steer our walks that way. Lots of space for him to run around, fountains so you don't have to bring water or a bowl yourself, and even a pool. Well two pools, one on both sides of the park (The small dog side and large dog side).
My pup loves going
Clayton Lake State ParkMy dog Bruno loves to go hiking and exploring out here. While I was at college my dad would take him as well and he always loved going out there with him too. Now thats its warming up im excited to bring him back as well as show my three new pups the place as well.
