My husband and I have two big, shaggy rescue dogs we love to bring with us wherever we can!
Water bowls set out around patio for dogs, and coolers full of water available to refill for human or canine guests was appreciated on a hot evening! Our server was great, and the manager came to check on us, complimented our dogs and asked if he could give them treats. Food was excellent and beer menu was spectacular!

Covered and uncovered patio options with heat for cooler months. Our server brought ice waters in containers just for the dogs. Food was amazing and great draft beer and drink options!

Dogs welcome in all areas of the park, and dog watering station at the main visitor center was awesome. Some trails are very steep and there are lots of stairs so be ready for that. Our older dog struggled a little in a few spots but did great. Younger dog had a blast the whole time.

We stopped on our way back to our VRBO from Hocking Hills State Park. We didn’t spend a ton of time there but the dogs loved strolling around the lake.

I'm sure the forest has some great trails to explore with dogs, but we spent half a day and couldn’t find them. Address listed open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. It’s the ranger station headquarters and totally locked up other days/times. Doesn’t seem to be a trailhead here. There are maps, but we couldn’t figure them out. We did manage to find one trailhead but it was overrun with ATVs and dirtbikes (cool for them but not what we wanted). We found one other trail but it was really a mountain bike trail and too difficult to spend more than an hour or so for us.

We stopped into Petoskey Brewing in Cross Village at the north end of the Tunnel of Trees. The staff were so welcoming and brought water out for our dogs and gave them lots of pets and compliments. the food was great, too!

Staff was very friendly and welcoming of us and our pups. Food was delicious and the view from the deck was breathtaking!

Great trails to spend a day with the dogs hiking and exploring.
