Beautiful Park
East Harbor State ParkWe spent the weekend camping here with our pup. It was a fantastic experience. We took him to the beach. Dog are not permitted on the sandy beach however we sat on the shore right before the restrooms. There is a special doggy beach located at the far right of the parking lot. There are no signs. We were told by other families that had dogs. They said it was about a 15 minute walk from the parking lot. Staff members said we could take our dog swimming at kayak ramp. We attempted this however it was very difficult to get into the water. We enjoyed early morning walks throughout the park. The campground is very welcoming! We will be returning to soon.
Very Pet Friendly
Tin Goose DinerThis restaurant went over and above are expectations. Our pup was immediately brought ice water. Staff would come out just to talk to our pup. We all enjoyed watching the planes fly in and out. Food was delicious. We actually returned the next morning for breakfast. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
Dog park and Walking paths
Infirmary Mound ParkDog parks are available at the front of the park. The trail we went on was a grass trail that turned into a dirt trail. We enjoyed the Fairy Trail which is wonderful if you have children. The Fairy trail is only available during the summer months. Fishing pond. Lots of options for your pup to explore.
Beautiful Paved Trail
Blackhand Gorge State Nature PreserveBeautiful paved trails for dogs to walk. Restrooms available in the parking lot. A hidden gem! Highly recommend!
