Right off the highway with a comfortable room and helpful staff.

Clean and somewhat quiet, considering it is so close to a major road. Good breakfast. Adequate for a short stay. Nice staff.

Far above my usual lux-level, this lovely house provided beautiful and comfortable overnight facilities. Park inside gated area, sit in outdoor circle around fire, watch sunset from porch rocker. Good coffee machine and muffin in room. Big green area for dog on site. Just delightful!

Aloft was comfortable for me and my shihtzu. Short walk to French Quarter. No nearby place for dog to go; people just use the sidewalk but at least they pick it up. The biggest plus here is the people. Aloft has the nicest, most intelligent and efficient staff I have ever encountered. They are so neat that I couldn’t subtract a star for lack of green space for dog.

Clean and relatively quiet place to sleep for a night on the road. The people are nice and the place has the basics. Nothing fancy but neither is the price. Right on route 17.

It is amazing that a hotel this classy would allow dogs. Not only that, they are welcoming to our pets. The staff could not have been more accommodating, and the room combines vintage furnishings with a totally modern bathroom. Nice town, too.

My dog and I enjoyed our night at this motel. I choose Radisson because it is well built. That means it is quiet, an important factor during a road trip.

Clean room and good kitchen. Right on Main Street but not too noisy. My dog and I took big bus all over town from nearby Palace of Arts. Parked car for entire time.

Basic and clean if you ignore the stained carpet. The bed is comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Very reasonable and the staff is nice. No breakfast, but it has a mini fridge. Quiet for sleeping even though on main route (which makes it convenient for exploring lake area. The people who stay there seem to be considerate.

Not all that dog friendly. No breakfast and pets NOT allowed in on-site cafe. Otherwise ok, except I cut my leg on metal bed stand. That said, it is clean and convenient.

This is a great place for hikers or anyone visiting this area. Short ride to classy area with shops and restaurants. Comfortable rooms with plenty of space to move around. You can hike right from the property. Drive slowly on the bumpy road near the rooms. Staff is cheerful.

There is nothing resorty about this two-story motel. That said, it was clean and comfortable. I prefer SANDPOINT. Nicer town, better hotels.

Staff was very helpful, excellent in fact. My only unpleasant surprise is they no longer provide kitchenware. BYO and it’s great!

This is an old motel. Cheap, noisy, hard pillows and bedding smells. However, staff is friendly. Spend a little more and be able to sleep.

Motel is dog friendly. It is being renovated. Biggest minus is other guests. Noisy after midnight. Difficult to sleep and the noise upset my dog.

The hotel is pet friendly, no fee, no fuss. The staff is great and the neighborhood is walkable. We enjoyed a late lunch at Grill Mark: good food and happy people.

This place is outside Wytheville in a quiet spot. The staff is especially helpful.

Great place for single travelers and families, also saw a lot of happy retired couples here. Good breakfast —- and my emotional support dog was welcome in the breakfast room.

Clean room with kitchenette. There is even a toaster in the cabinet. Breakfast is on your own, but coffee is always available.
