Seamless check-in, large clean room, small but adequate dog area with bags.

Customer service was terrible. Had two little dogs in a stroller. Not very accommodating for stroller access on the deck where dogs are welcome. Very rude in explaining how I needed to get to the deck and acted like they didn’t really care for my business and answer my questions. Even though the place was virtually empty.
Would recommend going down the road to Thunderbird Lodge and Restaurant.

Very nice staff and extremely accommodating for my two pups in a stroller. They let me dine inside. Highly recommend!! Food was great too.

This was a great dog friendly hotel. Several pups staying the same night I was there. Funny how all the pups were behaved but the teenagers slamming doors and yelling until 2:00 in the morning were not controlled by chaperones. Pups vs. kids, pups win again!

the boat tour is a must! only way to see the rocks. The kennel was quite fine for the pups when I was on the tour. There were 4 other crates being used plus ours and they still had plenty of accommodation. Bring a lock. I brought a blanket too.

Front desk staff very friendly. Room clean and accommodations for pup was great

Very pleasant stay. Nice clean room. Breakfast because of COVID is limited but very accommating. Two areas for pups to potty.

Great place. Small to go breakfast during this COVID time we are in. Very accommodating.

I gave this one bone simply because I had to do something to put in a review. Otherwise it would have been no bones. Disclosure, this is a long review:
I felt something weird when I pulled in at 3:00 pm and there was not a single car in the parking lot. I went inside and checked in. I pulled around to the side door and the cover for the card slide was broken off and my card didn’t work to get into the building. I went back inside and the clerk said not all room keys work for the outside so mine must be one that doesn’t work. I walked down the hall, down the stairs to the lower level and went into my room with my two dogs in tow. The bed was not made and there were used towels in the sink. I walked back the same way to the desk and the clerk said the cleaning staff had just left and assured him everything was done. He changed my room. I walked back the same way to the new room across the hall from the old room. Bed was made etc. but there was a smell. Knowing the staff was incompetent to clean all the rooms made me wonder to what degree the cleaning was done. There was a hole in the top of the bedspread. I immediately decided to eat my $100 and leave. I did not stay. I got a wonderful room in Rapid City, 45 Minutes away, at the Country Inn & Suites. I will never reserve at a Super 8 again. It’s unfortunate because the night before in Custer, SD the Super 8 was wonderful. I don’t know where these reviews go but I hope every booking site sees it. This is a terrible, terrible place. If I could get some kind of compensation for my trouble in the way of future promo codes I’d appreciate it. But, it was definitely worth me leaving whether I have any help or not. Again, if you have read this whole review, please DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

My experience was great. The front desk clerk gave treats to the pups. There were quite a few dogs staying and everyone was considerate of each other. Clean room and great location.

Great location. Easy to find. Very clean with a nice dog area. Staff very accommodating. Breakfast was grab and go due to COVID but a very substantial selection.
