Beautiful beach
Little Presque Isle BeachThere’s a very short hike through pines to the beach. Dogs need to be leashed but once at the beach several were swimming.
Very Nice Beach
First Street BeachThe dog friendly area is south of the river between two pier heads. We kept our dogs on leashes but had a lot of fun dipping in.
Fun hotel!
Graduate CincinnatiThis hotel is very cute and very dog friendly. Dogs could be in the lobby and elevators. Lots of areas to walk the dog on campus. There’s a really great taco restaurant within walking distance. My son and I walked to the zoo while my husband stayed with the dog. Overall great time, friendly employees.
Nice place to stay
Drury Inn & Suites Bowling GreenWe were on the ground floor close to the door to the parking lot so that was convenient. There was plenty of grass to walk the dog and a dog friendly Cabela’s next door. This was an older hotel than the one in Franklin Tennessee that we stayed in on our way south but it was clean and met our needs. Both the dinner buffet and breakfast buffet were great. The pool was indoor and a bit on the small side.
Really great hotel
Drury Plaza Hotel Nashville FranklinThis is a great hotel and we really enjoyed the free snacks (which were enough for dinner) and breakfast. There are a lot of rules for dogs - they are not allowed in public areas or the elevator. We were on the fourth floor so taking the stairs got a bit tiring. If you or your dog have any trouble with stairs I would request first floor. The grassy area was small but there is a sidewalk on the road outside of the hotel. It’s a busy road but there are crosswalks and we walked to Jeni’s ice cream which was delicious and had a lot of outside seating. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was very clean and the shower was wonderful. This area is very nice and feels safe.
Very fun and uncrowded
Columbus County ParkGreat place! Only complaint was the mosquitoes- bring your bug spray!
Nice hotel for a quick stop
Sleep Inn & Suites Shepherdsville Louisville SouthClean room. Nice location. There is a 50 lb. limit which I was not told about on the phone. My dogs are pretty close to that but could cause a problem for some people. The local pizza place Bearno’s will deliver to the room and was very good.
Great for an overnight stay
Best Western Athens InnWe needed to spend a night on the way to Dauphin Island. Great proximity to the highway. Lots of restaurants nearby. Room was dated on the outside but inside was fairly modern. Small grassy area for pets and the street beyond the hotel was nice for a walk. Josh at the front desk was very helpful. Would return.
Great Hotel
Comfort Inn Ludington Near US-10We were very impressed with this hotel - very nice and clean. a nice fenced area to let your dog roam around while they find the perfect potty spot. Would stay here again.
Beautiful And There Is A Dog Beach
Ludington State ParkWe walked the trails with our dogs and had a great time. Most of the beach says no dogs - but we asked the ranger and found a small dog friendly area between the big bathhouse and the river.
Couldn’t Figure Out How To Get Down To The Beach
North Beach Access ParkThe access at the bottom of the stairs is barricaded and it’s a 6 foot drop off - not like a hill. You would have to jump. I don’t think my dog or I would have made it down or back up again. Some people were on the beach - not sure how they got there. Maybe there is a path we couldn’t find.
Not Much To Do And No Beach Access
Orchard Beach State ParkWe had a picnic and walked the small trail that is on the bluff. Pretty views but no way to get to the water. The restrooms were nice.
