We visited on a summer weekday mid-morning with our dog-reactive French Bulldog mix and had a great experience. Entered through the southern stream trail to the beach—slightly longer, but we didn’t see a single dog. He was calm and happy the whole time. It got warm quickly, so we left early, but it was peaceful and low-stress. Docking one star because the water isn’t monitored—okay for splashing, not full swims. Still, a great option if your dog needs space.
