This place was very pet friendly. Waiter brought a water bowl for my pup. There were several other dogs on the patio. Food was great and they even made a cocktail for me that was no longer on their menu. Was a great covered patio, since it was rainy that evening. Would definitely return again.

We arrived right after a storm had knocked out power to the motel. The clerk gave us a room key and told me to come back to office in about 30 minutes to check in. This motel is very pet friendly, great grassy area across the parking lot. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Only issue I had was a bad smell in the middle entrance (smelled like rotting garbage, maybe in a closet near in entryway?). It didn’t smell near our room tho, so don’t know if garbage hadn’t gotten picked up recently or what. Breakfast was good (egg and cheese or sausage muffins) to be warmed in microwave. Also had danishes, fruit, yogurt and cereal. Would stay here again with my dog. One other negative is pet fee is too much $35, compared to other motels in the area.

Upon check in, was told dogs are not allowed on the very plush green grass in front of motel. Was instructed to use an alley behind motel (no grass and lots of trash). Room had carpet so I put potty pads down, in case of any accidents. The room temp was set at 72 degrees which felt freezing. Was told to close ceiling vents. Could not control ac in room. We slept in sweats under the covers, but it got too warm during the night (ac turned off?). Bed was comfortable, breakfast was a selection of homemade breads, boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee and juice. Don’t think we would stay here again with our dog. Very disappointing for a so called pet friendly motel.

The pet area is way in back of motel and needs to be mowed. Also, poop bag dispenser was empty. Motel advertises breakfast, but it’s only cold cereal and bread/bagel. Room was satisfactory, except their pet policy states pet cannot be on furniture in the room. Also cannot be left unattended, but that wasn’t an issue for us. There were noisy people in hallway late at night which caused our dog to bark.

This place has a great pet-friendly area, both in the front yard and a fenced area in the back. Beds were comfortable, Good shower, but small. Breakfast was just cereal and pre-packaged snacks. Parking was right in front of room. Overall, great pet friendly place. Would stay here again.

The ocean view here is beautiful! Lots of amenities available at the Cavelier next door. The carpet at Sand by the Sea desperately needs to be replaced with hardwood floors in the pet friendly rooms. Bed was very comfortable and room was large. Plenty of outdoor areas for pets to potty behind the motel. Would stay here again.

There were cockroaches in the room. Bed was not comfortable. The pet area was a large area but no one picked up after their pets so you had to be careful where you stepped in the grass. Will not stay here again.

I would stay here again when traveling with my pet. Only issue was floor was dirty and pet fee was advertised as $10, but has increased to $25. Was told of this at time of booking.
