we camped on the lake, got an awesome sunset, moonrise and sunrise in the campground. Looe was treated to great walks, sniffing squirrels and a bit of frisbee. he was in heaven! me too ....

nice afternoon walk. my wife, Looe and I did it in an hour and a half this afternoon. easy to follow trail to the top of Richard balsam mountain from the blue ridge parkway. be careful, the directions via Apple Maps were wrong, and cell service was very spotty. my wife found the right spot by just looking up the mountain. trail is at the end of a pull off. good parking
