The reservation and check-in process was a breeze. I booked a pet-friendly room online and confirmed at check-in that I was bringing my dog. Staff was professional and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and they have 2 fenced-in dog runs with astroturf next to the parking lot. Full breakfast in the morning with eggs, pancakes, waffles, and sausage.
Lovely park! Beautiful views of Malibu beaches, Santa Monica mountains, and the ocean. You can see the Channel Islands on a clear day. Dogs must be leashed and watch out for rattlesnakes.

There is a separate section for small and large dogs. It’s a bit small compared to other dog parks, but plenty of space to run around. maybe like 30% dirt, rest is grass. Water available. Poop bags available. A few benches and picnic tables.

Dogs must be leashed. Saw several other dogs along the hike. Moderately steep elevation change but very beginner friendly. Most of the trail is dirt/gravel and not accessible for wheelchairs if that is a consideration for you. Nice views of the lake and mountains. Dusty and dry so bring plenty of water for you and your pooch.

Patio was dog friendly, but you have to go inside without the dog to order so it’s best to have two humans so one can wait with the dog outside. Food was good. Conservative political poster inside the restaurant and the giant “Make America Godly Again” bus parked outside were a bit off-putting but staff were friendly.

I had a great experience staying here with my medium-sized dog. I called ahead to reserve a dog-friendly room and was told that all rooms are dog-friendly (there is a $20/dog fee). Room was clean and there were many other families staying there. Plenty of grass for your dogs. Very friendly and professional staff. Safe and quiet.
