My husband and I are empty nesters, having raised 2 great sons. We have had some great dogs in our life as well. Jack is our first small breed/non shedding dog. He is a morkie and up for most anything. We all enjoy travel, the outdoors, food and drink, good conversation and music and other simple pleasures in life.

We were here on New Year’s Eve with our little dog. Very comfortable stay. Clean king room. Rooms well insulated for sound. Good space to take our dog outside. Very friendly staff. Security presence in the area was appreciated and we felt very safe. Nearby businesses convenient (enjoyed Laguna Burger). Will stay here again.

After a long roadtrip it was great to walk our little dog on the Manistique boardwalk and trails. Waste bags and garbage cans provided. Good space to park, picnic and use bathroom. Lovely views. Able to take the pup right on the shore of Lake Michigan.

Delicious Food and drink, friendly capable service and beautiful outdoor patio to enjoy dining with our dog. Water dish with ice brought out for our dog on a hot summer day. Cannot wait to return when we visit BC in the future.

We stopped by while visiting from out of state to check out the park and campground. We had our 10 # dog with us on a hot humid day. Did not do major hiking or checking out the trails but the overall park was lovely.

Dog friendly drive that has been around since 1949. Great food, we enjoyed eating outside on picnic table with our dog.

Had beer and pizza from Moon Ridge and enjoyed it sitting on their outdoor deck with our pup. Friendly staff.

We enjoy camping with our dogs over the years at Brunet Island. Nice campsites both electric and non electric. Some hiking trails and roads nice to walk on. Area where dogs can get into river to swim and cool off as well.

We stayed for 2 nights in July 2025 with our little dog. Sites were level, spacious, private with both shade and sun with grass. We did not hike due to canoeing instead. Bugs were bad but we managed. Great area to visit. (No showers or flush toilets though).

Reasonably Priced Pup cup cone. Outdoor seating areas, shaded and sun. Soft serve ice cream as well as Chocolate Shoppe hand scooped. People eating other food items as well.

We were the only ones here on a Monday in June with our small dog. Let him run around the large fenced area. They had lots of grass, some shade and picnic tables and benches. Nearby flush bathrooms and gravel trails. Nice area.

Very disappointed for a Best Western. Close to I-80 but near a large truck stop, lots of single men/railway transport folks and I did not feel completely comfortable or safe there. Luckily my husband was with so we did ok. Put in first floor room with no carpet that was nice for our little dog. However noisy ice machine and some other patrons/dogs resulted in our dog feeling uneasy most of the night. Room had operational lights, clocks, TV with lots of movie channels. Breakfast was just ok. Would not stay here again & definitely would not recommend for a solo female traveler with dog.

We had a clean spacious room on the 2nd floor with our little dog. Decent areas outside for some smells and sights. Loved the back courtyard and Mountain View’s. Dog enjoyed the large dog treats.

First time visitors from the Midwest with our little dog. Friendly capable staff and friendly patrons. Enjoyed the outside dining on a beautiful January day. Loved seeing the fountain go. Extensive menu. Tasty food and drinks.

While on a roadtrip on I 40, this place was worth a stop so both our dog and ourselves could get out of the car and move, do the .7 loop trail (not marked at all) and view the volcanic scenery.

Really good food and drinks, great service and lots of covered outdoor patio space to enjoy with your dog. Lovely views. Clean and relaxed setting. Daily food specials.

Grassy, spacious, safe area to exercise your dog. No water or bathroom however.

We camped in the Minnieska loop for 4 nights with our dog. Campsites spacious and private. Plenty of roads and trails to do with the dog. Some hikes rather steep with stairs but our little guy did just fine.

Had a midweek summer lunch and beverage with our little dog outside.Beautiful area with lots of plants and flowers. Water and dishes provided for dogs. Friendly service. Good food-a bit expensive-but menu quite varied. Good beer.

Sat outside with our dog enjoying the brews and views of this spot in Beaver Dam

Great outside area for you and your dog. Right on the river. Free dog treats. Tasty food and beverages for the humans. Very friendly owners and staff.

Sat outside and enjoyed beers, delicious food and comfortable setting with our dog. Lots of space and seating, both sunny and shaded. Very friendly staff. We also had to check out the extensive inside space of this former condensed milk factory (while our dog waited in the car). Nice merchandise for sale including a HBC portable dog bowl.

Had an enjoyable time on their covered patio with our dog. Sunny areas were available as well. Delicious food and drinks. Friendly staff. Relax here and watch the world go by in Wisconsin’s Driftless region.

Beautiful sandy beach to enjoy with your dog. The entire park area has nice well marked trails.

Enjoyed beer and time spent on patio outside with our dog. Unfortunately it was so foggy we could not see Lake Michigan across the street! Tasty beers, friendly staff, nice new space, fun merch

Spent one night while on road trip with small dog. Excellent location for I-35 travel. Safe neighborhood with nearby wonderful park and trails for exercise. Fuel and restaurants plentiful as well. King room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Stayed for one night on a road trip with our little dog. King room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Elevator was not operational when we arrived so we had to use stairs to 2nd floor, end room. Given dog treat upon check-in. Both the dog and I enjoyed walk at nearby Riverside Park on the Platte River. Ordered take out food from nearby The Mav-in Rodeway Inn (very good btw). I used the pool and spa which I had to myself on a Sunday night. Had to ask clerk to provide pool towels. Great location for traveling the 76.

We enjoyed food and craft beers on the patio with our little dog. Friendly capable service.

Enjoyed snacks and drinks outside on patio with our little dog. Great views. Tasty Utah brewed beers. Friendly service.

Enjoyed a lovely visit in March with our little dog. The bridge over the Virgin River was really nice. Other park patrons seemed fine. Highly recommend.
We had to order our food and drink at inside bar but spacious outside shaded seated for us and our dog. Staff was friendly. Great range of craft beer. Food was good and plentiful.

Stayed one night with our morkie. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean room. We had an issue with shade they addressed as able. Hotel lacks green space and nice areas to walk your dog. They did have dog treats and waste bags available. More outside waste receptacles would be nice.

The hotel is getting renovated. They waived the pet fee as a result of this. We had a spacious king suite on the 3rd floor that is completely updated and nice. Comfortable bed. Lots of nice green space to walk your dog. Friendly staff.

order at the window and enjoy a huge variety of soft serve treats. outdoor seating with shade. reasonable prices for everything including pup cups.

several great hiking trails, pet picnic area and campground

great food and drink on their dog friendly patio with some shaded tables. Right next to State Park.

we enjoyed our stop here. grassy fenced in dog park area with benches and picnic tables. great place to have our lunch while dog got exercised and lots of sniffs. Nice view. Human bathrooms very nice. Gas prices better than other stations in the area.

very nice dog park! grassy and 2 seperate areas to play. water and bags/garbage provided. our puppy had a good time and met a fellow traveler dog from out of state.

We spent 1 night on our road trip to SoCal with our 9 mo. old puppy. We stayed in a king executive suite at end of the 1st floor hallway.

arrived right when they opened at 4pm on a Sunday. Place got busier over the 1.25 hr. we were there. The 2 of us and our pup were the only ones on covered patio for awhile. very spacious (tables distanced for COVID 19) and staff brought puppy large dish of water right away. Meal and beverages we ordered were top notch! Really nice place! definitely recommend

Wonderful one night stay after a long travel day with our 9 mo. old morkie. Extremely clean, pleasant suite and really comfortable bed/bedding/pillows. Nice to have sidewalks to walk our pup, see a herd of pronghorns and view the sunset. Breakfast was also really nice.
