Friendly staff, comfy bed, clean room, plenty of dog potty space, and the rooms are not cleaned with heavy fragrances my girl dog Sharky is allergic too. Thank you, Janice, for your kind welcome at the front desk! Will def stay again!

Would not help me find out if their rooms are disinfected with fragranced cleaning products. I told her my dog and I have severe asthma. Very rude woman working at the desk tonight. Did not care at all. For $120 a night, that is more than ridiculous to not inquire for us.

Sharky and I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch today! Thank you for the delicious meals and for the fresh water for my girl and the awesome pet-friendly atmosphere! Perfect location in the heart of Southport with delicious and very generously-priced food (I highly suggest Da Goat as a crepe). A special shout-out to Jill! You are awesome! Everything was perfect. One of the best pet-friendly hotels I can imagine. Excellent, professional, and super-friendly staff—thank you, Jay and Destiny! Amazing dog park and potty areas—and a perfect trail by the creek out back. Clean, quiet, tasty coffee, awesome tv with tons of channels, fast and secure wifi, great AC—and the bed was SO incredibly cozy! And if you or your dog are sensitive to fragrances like my dog and I are, you can contact them ahead of time and request they clean the room before your arrival to accommodate you with non-fragranced cleaning measures. Awesome, friendly, dog-loving staff, very comfortable bed, clean room, great AC, perfect vinyl floors for dogs, safe area with close access to food and other shopping…the list goes on! And an excellent price and great value for your money. Thank you for your kind hospitality and for being a safe haven for me & my sweet Shark dog—and so many others who, like us, had just evacuated Florida just before Hurricane Ian. God bless you all! Outstanding atmosphere, pooch pampering (bowl of ice water, plus a jar of Milkbones on the table when you arrive!), service (thank you, Lexie!)—-and the best pizza I have had in decades of traveling the world and eating pizza. I’m a vegetarian, and I ordered “The Tre” plus the olive trio. Check it out on their online menu and then make the trip there. Watching the sunset over the bay right now (right across the street) from our table on the covered patio. Been coming to this area my whole life. Just arrived last night for my dog’s first visit here. We will be dining here multiple times this week! Seriously, the hands-down greatest pizza of my life!!! Thank you!

Sharky and I had the best sleep. The bed is so comfortable. Great breakfast and coffee. Everything in the room worked perfectly and was clean. Very friendly staff. Special shout out to Nate at the front desk who started our stay off right with his friendliness and professionalism. He went above and beyond. Can’t write enough nice things about this place. BringFido, I am SO grateful I only dealt with this place via your app. Some of these places listed pressure you to book via them afterward, FYI, or they give you the impression you will get the same treatment if you cut out 3rd party apps like yours. I will continue to book via BringFido after the life-threatening debacles I had trying to have a staycation in both Cullman and Madison, Alabama. You may want to consider unaffiliating with this otherwise amazing property due to an abusive manager named Peggie who treated me and Sharky and others like we were nothing. If she leaves and those with hostile, toxic vibes like her go too, we will def be back. Sharky’s Aunt Charity in housekeeping literally saved both Sharky’s life and mine and ultimately helped make it possible for me to complete an act of great service to the United States of America. If you are visiting the Southport/Oak Island area with your dog(s), definitely stay here! Very clean, spacious, dog-friendly, and human-friendly. Only a few minutes drive from both SPT and Oak Island (btw, be sure to stop in at Gonzo’s on Oak Island for nice toys, food, treats, a dog wash after the beach, etc.)

Took my best friend Sharky here as part of her early 13th bday east coast beaches/state parks tour. Comfort Suites was our introduction to the area, and thanks to people like wonderful Michelle in guest services (now officially “Auntie Michelle”) not only did we start our trip off right but we decided to move to Southport! Such a friendly, caring, and beautiful place!

Plenty of room to walk your dog for potty breaks, conveniently located from your room. All the guests (dog and human) were lovely as well. Got a great sleep/snuggle both nights in our cozy king bed. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Even when we move to the SPT area, we will be doing staycations at Comfort Suites! Coming back through tonight for another 2 nights to check out properties in the area and see our new friends again!
