Best dog vacation ever!

My husband and I decided it was time to take a vacation with our two labs( both 2 1/2 years old). We did 2 nights at Fitger’s. I was so impressed with our accommodations and the hotel that the review is being written before I even unpack! When we first got to the hotel, we took advantage of the complimentary valet service. They helped unload the car and get us all setup in our room. They provide dog beds, bowls, and even fans to help drown out noises. Our labs aren’t crazy barkers but this was their first night away from home ever so hearing other dogs occasionally bark or a knock on a neighboring door made them bark a couple times. All three restaurants on site had patio seating. We did the Brewhouse and Mexican place. Both were great for the dogs. They brought out water dishes and gave lots of love to our babies which they totally loved.

The Mexican patio did have some pretty friendly pigeons that tormented my bird dogs. But everyone survived. The mall that is attached to the hotel is also dog friendly. Every store had a bowl of treats. Outside if you walk down the street there were some shops that had water bowls out for the dogs. The hotel is right on Lake Superior and has lots of places to take your fury friend for walks and go potty. It truly is a dog friendly area. I am so glad this place was on BringFido. I would have never known. Looking forward to another dog vacation but I don’t know how we are going to top this one!
