Most dog-friendly restaurant in the Mid-Valley area

Calapooia Brewing

If I could choose only one restaurant to bring my dog to in the entire Albany/Corvallis/Salem region, it would be this one. Plus, they have great food for people!

Beautiful, big county park to explore!

Mason-Dixon Historical Park

Our husky loves walking the many trails at this park and swimming in the creek! There are a good variety of walks, including a relaxing stroll along Dunked Creek or a challenging climb up Brown’s Hill. Part of the excellent Monongalia County Park system, this park is extraordinarily well maintained, with a dedicated park supervisor living nearby. If the humans are history buffs, there is plenty of that with the Mason-Dixon Line markers. Basketball court, playgrounds, and several picnic shelters add fun for everybody

Good location, lots of space

Sonesta Simply Suites Denver West Federal Center

Nice place to stop along I-84. Very spacious hotel, with lots of elbow room in the staircase, lobby, hallways, etc. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Near many restaurants of Twin Falls. Our dog enjoyed it and was treated well by hotel staff.

Will stay again!

Residence Inn by Marriott Lincoln South

We frequently travel cross country with our husky and haven't always stayed in the best hotels. This is one of the good ones. Next to a nice neighborhood for dog walking, quiet location away from highway. Great breakfast, and nice outdoor seating areas surrounding lobby. For the humans - there is a basketball court!!

Above average interstate option

Hampton Inn Salt Lake City/Layton

Great one night stay on cross country drive. Comfortable clean rooms. Above average breakfast. No interstate noise. Would stay again!

Very nice to dogs!

Aloft Portland Airport at Cascade Station

We stayed here one night with our husky mix to see our friends off at the nearby Portland Airport. Accommodations were comfortable and rooms had ample sound proofing from airplane traffic. Very dog friendly, with water bowls in lobby, and hotel has no problem with dogs hanging out (on leash of course) in the lobby. There is a nice outside sitting area at the hotel. The street in front of the hotel has a wide, grassy median with sidewalks for dog walking.

If you're road-tripping with a dog, this is your best bet on this stretch of I-84!

Mountain Home Inn

We stayed overnight here in February 2021 on a cross-country trek with our 40 lb husky. Mountain Home Inn definitely exceeds the bar for interstate stops. It's comfortable, clean, and convenient, and the Mountain Home ID exit is one of your quieter options without sacrificing access to road trip essentials. And a plus in our opinion, the rooms had vinyl flooring instead of carpeting. We like vinyl flooring because they seem cleaner and it's less to worry about with the pups. Office staff were very nice and accommodating. If you're traveling long distance with a dog, Mountain Home Inn is your best bet on this stretch of I-84! (good option without a dog too!)
