Nice people but unclean room
Lodge at KennebunkThe room was minimally cleaned. It looked like the hardwood floors had been swept in the walking area but there were big clumps of dust on the edges and corners, dust and debris under beds, clumps of dust and hair in bathroom edges, and tub had not been cleaned.

Hotel needs maintenance and no dog provisions..
Days Inn by Wyndham ShallotteNo provisions for dogs. No treats, no walk area.
TV didn’t work, lamp unplugged and missing light bulb (electric outlet covered by tape). They put us in a different room. Dirty facecloth over shower rod, room right next to stairs and ice machine, no phone in either room to call front desk.
This was out of their control but rowdy group literally screaming and running up & down stairs. Front desk called police.
Staff was very nice.

Very disappointing
Red Roof Inn Richmond SouthCheck in was in a dark, dirty little room with a bank teller style window, not in the lobby. Employee was definitely not friendly. The lawn area for the dogs was full of previous dog's leavings. I understand this is the responsibility of the dog owners but I would have thought that the hotel staff would monitor it. Our "Superior King" room was barebones adequate and not especially clean. I had a reservation for the next night at another Red Roof Inn and cancelled it because of this experience. We are at a Baymont Inn tonight instead. Huge upgrade!! I won't book another Red Roof Inn.

Friendly people
Manchester Inn and SuitesThe hotel was under new ownership and was in transition but was nice. People were very welcoming to our beagle which always wins points with us.

Great location and so CLEAN!
Aloft Ocean CityWe had a great stay. When they say they are dog friendly they really mean it. Everyone at the front desk welcomed our pup. There was a large bowl of water and a large bowl of milk bones at the entrance. Even though the area was congested with businesses, they still provided a great grassy area for the pups. We would stay here again.
