Great food, happy dog!

What a fun location! Outdoor courtyard in a small shopping complex. Food was great, coffee was great, service was great. Nice stop for breakfast food at lunch! Our dog had a “downward dog” snack (scrambled egg and bacon). We don’t normally give her people food, but she’s on vacation too!

Clean but old and pathetic breakfast

Could have been a 3 or 4 bone rating because our room was spacious, and although worn down it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was also inexpensive, which was evident in the terrible grounds. Dog area was dirt, in parking lot, and the breakfast was not even mediocre. There was a waffle maker, but the serving trays for eggs and bacon were TINY and constantly empty. The bread option for toast was one piece of bread and when someone took it, it was replaced with one piece of bread. I gave up on waiting for hot food (as soon as two people served themselves the tray was empty) and ate a tiny yogurt cup. Coffee was weak. This is a definitely “you get what you pay for” hotel. Stay here if you need decent bed and don’t like coffee or breakfast.

Fantastic!

Really nice room. On advice from a TripAdvisor reviewer, we booked a room with a sitting area. It was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable, the shower and soaking tub seemed quite new. There was coffee in the room. Morning breakfast selection was excellent. As an added bonus, this hotel also provides a light dinner and three free drinks each evening. One evening it was chicken and pasta choices and the next it was taco fixings. Both nights hot dogs and popcorn were available. It’s very close to the historic plaza, and walking distance to galleries and shops on canyon road. There is a pet fee and a charge for valet parking. It was worth it! There is a small grassy area on one side of the hotel for dogs, complete with waste bags.

Clean and updated

Pretty close to the freeway, two level motel. It’s had a nice update with stylish fixtures and fun wildlife art in the room. The rooms have a keypad entry and we were provided a number code rather than a key. We also filled out registration on our phone. Check-in was easy and the staff person was helpful. The room was clean. There is a propane fire pit at one end of the inn, and a fire was going the night we were there, which was an appealing feature. I subtracted a bone because I thought the coffee service was not the best (styrofoam cups and powdered creamer), and I thought the pillows weren’t good quality. These are not major issues, and I would definitely stay here again.

A treasure by the sea!

We loved this place! Our partial view room was wonderful. Real cotton sheets, real coffee cups, plates and flatware. Breakfast delivered to rooms in the morning in a charming basket. Lots of lawn and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view. Right across from boardwalk, and the street was only 25mph. Clean and quiet. Cookies in early afternoon and brownies at 5pm. 4 cup coffee makers in the room. Coffee and tea in the lobby. Good tea, by the way. Very dog friendly. Cute sheets overnight the white bedding. I did not want to leave.

Convenient but loud

Good rooms for pets, no carpet. Close to freeway, parking is easy. Breakfast fare was adequate for a very affordable room. But the lack of soundproofing was a problem. We could hear people talking on one side and kids crying on the other side and every foot step above us. Of course nothing can be done about that, so just be aware.
