Self pet wash!

Sandy Paws Pet Supplies

Self pet wash available up until 1 hour before closing - attendant was very helpful as we cut it very close on our way back from Assateague National Seashore and our Tyson was super sandy and she let us in anyway with a promise of being super quick! we were in and out in under 20 mins. Self wash provides a ramp to a basin with a hose connected to a variety of shampoo options, also provided towels and aprons and a cold air dryer.
- self wash is priced by weight. our Tyson is 70lbs and wash was $18
- there are several cats that roam the store and are not a bother but if your pup is weary of cats this is good to know
- somewhat decent selection of toys, treats, beds, crate pads, food, leashes,
collars, etc. did the trick.

Assateague Bayside Beach

Assateague National Seashore

Tyson enjoying Bayside Beach - first right after toll both. Dogs happily welcomed! Small beach area but lots of room in calm shallow water to walk and play with your pups and other dog friends! Restrooms (house w/ Porta potty type private stalls) available, and foot wash/well for rinsing. The GPS address will take you to a building but continue straight over bridge until you reach fee booth ($25 for 1-7 day pass) and make first right after North Ocean Beach (which also allows dogs but has waves).

Tyson at Angler’s!

Angler Restaurant & Bar

Sat on the outdoor deck, waterside. Only a rope between us and the water made us nervous at first. Doggie menu was cute, we ordered two hot dogs. All the staff was very excited to have Tyson there and were very welcoming. Nearby diners also seemed unbothered and even excited to see him there. He was very well behaved and that was good because the deck was busy with diners and waitstaff passing close by our table with trays. Overall great experience here! 4 bones because we would’ve preferred to sit at a table away from the edge of the dock, but we didn’t ask for that so they gave us what was available and no wait for a table around 8pm :)

Nice hotel, decent stay

Residence Inn by Marriott Ocean City

This hotel is gorgeous and basically brand new. No issues at check-in - standard pet contract but a hefty $150 per fee. Tyson is a 70 lb 6 month old American Bully and everyone that saw him loved him!
- small dog walk area behind parking lot next to bay/lagoon
- doggie station was out of pet waste bags and not refilled during the 3 days we were there
- dogs not allowed in public areas where food/bev is served.. this included the outdoor pool and tiki bar
- they gave us a room on the 8th floor, and there’s only 2 elevators so the wait to get downstairs took quite long during busy hours
- I booked through Marriott mobile app and requested a low floor and listed pet but they didn’t have this request on file when we checked in
- saw several other people staying with their dogs here
- small balcony with glass, didn’t feel safe for Tyson to be out on the balcony
- beautiful and very spacious suites
- Isle of Wight up the road has tiny beach area which is dog friendly, Tyson loved it! We are trying Assateague National Shore today
- If we come to OC with Tyson again I would look for a different hotel that had better outdoor spaces where Tyson could come with us
