Marisa’s was one of our favorite places, unfortunately they closed last year. I heard they were reopening in a different location but it hasn’t happened yet.

The hotel was generally pretty nice, in a decent location. At first they gave me side eye about bringing my dog to breakfast but then told me it was ok when they saw she just sat under the table. There really is no formal area for the dogs to relieve themselves so it’s on the rocks. I took a bone away because there was a cockroach and baby spiders in my room despite the fact that it was very clean.

The staff was very accommodating of our dog and brought her a bowl of water with our drinks without us even asking. Food was wonderful, they even had some yummy gluten free options which I have a hard time finding at Italian restaurants.

We had a wonderful breakfast here then purchased some pastries for later! The people were very friendly, and there was plenty of dog friendly seats on the patio/street area which had a beautiful view of the ocean. All parking is metered so make sure you have change! Service was very fast.

The hotel is very clean, the staff extremely friendly. Location is awesome, so many stores, restaurants, and coffee joints within walking. distance (some cool bars too but we had our kiddo with us so we didn’t check those out). The beach is a bit of a hike but not bad if you aren’t carrying a ton of stuff and don’t mind an uphill walk on the way back. We extended our stay by a night because we didn’t want to go home and this was will be our “spot” in the future if we are coming back to SC.
