Hi! I’m Elizabeth and my bestest boy Finn, a gentle Newfoundland.
Finn is a polite and friendly pup who loves meeting new people! He's an AKC Fit Dog and accomplished nosework dog with his NACSW NW1 title and AKC nosework credits. Curious and well-mannered, Finn is always ready for a greeting and enjoys exploring new places.
We had the most wonderful stay and cannot recommend this place enough, especially if you're traveling with a picky pup! Finn is very selective when it comes to treats, so we were pleasantly surprised when he absolutely loved the welcome cookie. It's a small touch that made a big impression.
The garden suite was fantastic. Having direct access straight to the lawn was incredibly convenient, especially for early morning and late night outings. The room itself was beautiful and didn't feel like a typical pet-friendly room at all. It was stylish and comfortable in every way. Finn can sometimes struggle with slippery floors, but these were totally fine for him, which was a huge relief.
The beach was closed during our visit, but honestly it didn't matter one bit. We had an amazing time exploring all the trails and found plenty to keep us busy. It was the perfect place to unwind, and Finn felt so completely at ease the entire trip.
We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities throughout the property. Dog waste bags and disposal cans were available in several spots, which made everything so much easier. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a getaway where your dog is truly welcomed, not just tolerated!

My Newfoundland, Finn, and I stayed at the Nassau Inn for our first Princeton visit, and it fell short for traveling pet parents. The Palmer Square location is prime for campus access and shopping, but parking was a nightmare. The closest garage was full, forcing us to park three blocks away on the third floor. Hauling luggage and a Newfie down the street was rough. Parking costs an additional $20.
At check-in, mentioning my dog got a curt "We saw that in your reservation" with zero helpful information. When I asked where to walk Finn, I received vague directions to "go around the corner." For a $75 pet fee, I expected much better. This historical inn feels dated rather than charming. Hallways needed vacuuming, noise levels were high, pillows were lumpy, and there was no refrigerator—a real problem since Finn's food requires refrigeration.
At $285 total (including the $155 rate, $75 pet fee, $20 parking, and all the taxes), this felt overpriced. No welcome treats for Finn, and dogs feel tolerated rather than welcomed. Having just stayed at the Graduate in Annapolis with a wonderful experience, the contrast was stark. Next time, we'll try the Graduate Princeton instead. If you're traveling with a furry friend, look elsewhere for a genuinely pet-welcoming experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Graduate Hotel in Annapolis with our pup, Finn. The hotel's standout feature is the large grassy dog area accessible from the second floor, complete with trees. If you can request a second-floor room, you'll have the quickest access since dogs need to use either the elevator or stairs. One oddity: Finn was freaked out by the lobby floor's stain and refused to walk on it—very unusual behavior for him. We solved this by using the elevator directly from the parking area. Parking is easy to navigate and costs $35 daily. The location is perfect for exploring Annapolis. Our room was next to the elevator, but the soundproofing was excellent. The decor is fun, everything was spotlessly clean, and the hotel looks great. Highly recommended for travelers with dogs. The convenience and thoughtful amenities make it well worth a stay!

I stayed here with Finn, my giant Newfie, and overall had a great experience. The room was very clean, and the lobby was really inviting. There were a few grassy designated dog patches, but I also felt safe walking Finn around the building a few times to stretch his legs after a long drive—the area was well-lit, which I appreciated. The room was a little dated with some chipped paint and a tear in the shower curtain, but it was still very clean and comfortable. The pool looked popular with other guests. Finn especially enjoyed the complimentary milk bones at check-in! For the value and convenience of the location, I gave it 4 bones and would definitely recommend if you need a spot in Mystic.

Just stayed here with a giant Newfie. The hotel has been restored & they’ve paid attention to all the details. It’s so comfortable & cozy. The air conditioning works really well & we heard very little noise. We were on the 3rd floor, which was accessible by elevator & stairs. There are a few trees on the street and a little grassy area around the corner for short walks. About 3 blocks away is a 16 acre park (The Green) and we took a long walk around Yale campus. One thing to know is that you either have to use metered street parking in front or a parking garage a block away. On their website I reserved a room under their parking special.

Currently, this resort is under construction for renovations. I knew that when I booked my reservation, and I’m not going to hold it against them. The staff was so friendly, welcoming, and so helpful if you needed anything. There’s a great grassy area for pets, and access to a walking path if you cross the street in front. Just ask the front desk about it. Our room was on the 4th floor, but my pup had no problem with the elevators. Once the renovations are complete, I think this will be a fantastic resort.

This is the nicest BW I have ever stayed in. It was recently renovated, and it's so clean. The hallways are wide and the ceilings are high. There are several large grassy areas for pets all around the hotel, and everyone was very friendly towards my dog. The rooms are very large; there are 2 TVs and a sitting area in our room with 2 queen beds. The ac works really well. We were on the 2nd floor, and we could either take the elevator or the stairs for easy access outside. I was really impressed by this BW. We were going to stay in Saint Charles, MO, but the reviews of that BW were so bad. I'm really glad that we drove the extra hour to get here. Definitely worth it, and there is also a fantastic Chicago-style pizza place across the street. While the official BW policy may say up to 80 lbs for a dog, call the hotel because they are very flexible with giant well-behaved dogs.

I should have read the other reviews before staying here. There is a horrible smell in the hallway - it's a really strong chemical smell that will make you want to gag. I can't imagine how bad it must be for dogs.
This motel is dirty too. The hallway rug is badly stained, and the floor in our room was filthy. Honestly, I didn't take my shoes off and slept in my clothes. It was just so dingy and gross. The walls and door are really thin, and you'll hear a lot of noise. We were 1/2 way down the hall, and I could still hear every time the exit door slammed shut. Every time we walked down the hall, all the other dogs barked too. I do not recommend this place at all! Do yourself a favor and skip it!

We loved this hotel! The staff is so friendly and helpful. We got a dog dish, ball, & treats when we checked in. Dog owners should be aware that you must walk through a casino and then take an elevator to the hotel lobby. This was a first for my giant Newfie, but he handled it really well. From the lobby, you take a second set of elevators up to your room. We were on the 2nd floor, and luckily we were able to access the large pet area by taking the stairs. From the exit door to the pet area is a metal grated surface they have to walk on to get to the grassy trail area. If your pup is fine with a noisy casino, elevators, & walking on different surfaces, then you’ll enjoy your stay here too!

We loved our stay at Grouse Mountain Lodge! There are lots of grassy areas around the lodge for early morning & late evening walks. The room was large & comfortable. The staff was amazing; so friendly & welcoming! This place is Newfie approved!
