Gulf Oak Ridge trail

We walked the most western portion of the Gulf Oak Ridge trail as part of the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. Lots of shade for the dog as well as a water fountain about a half mile from the trailhead. Bikes also use this trail system, so have your head on a swivel.

5 Rivers Delta

5 Rivers Delta Resource Center

This is an underutilized park across the road from Meaher State Park. Nice nature museum. (No dogs allowed in the building.) Trails through the woods with shade were great for walking our Berner. Gift shop was closed during our visit. Plenty of parking for large RVs by the gift shop and at the Nature center if you are waiting you need to wait before getting into your next camp site.

Visit on 4/28/23 with Theo

Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery

Lovely patio with some later afternoon shade for the Theo. Excellent Whiskey Margarita and a Old Fashioned. So good had to buy a bottle.
