The beach is very nice and it is dog friendly.
This beach is in a residential zone. It starts 1 block after public parking stops. Not bad if you are only going with a few things. In our case, we had to walk a lot with many things. Not ideal.
Also, we saw no bathroom nearby. So I would recommend it for a short visit. We went for a couple of hours and it was great.

I don't know if it's always so calm, it looked like a lake. My dog loved it. She could walk really far inside the water.

Dogs are allowed at outside seating. Our dog was small and stayed under our table. Don't know how bigger dogs do it.

Great beers and great food. They allow dogs on the outside tables. It can be a little hot, so maybe avoid peak heat hours when going with your dog.
