One of the best hotels for dogs!

There are plenty of grassy patches nearby for potty breaks, there is not only a water bowl, but also a treat bowl by the door. And the dogs are encouraged to join in the evening happy hour, where they get more treats. All staff was welcoming, even with our senior dog who required a bit more help. All that, and it's a gorgeous hotel in a great location. We'll be back, for sure!

Above and beyond!

Some businesses tolerate dogs, some accomodate them, this place welcomes them... and their humans too!

The dogs were given home-baked, human-tested treats. We were sheltered from an impromptu downpour. The staff and other patrons were all so warm and friendly. And, as the other reviewer mentioned, the food was amazing. Do yourself and your pups a favor, and retire from the beach into this wonderful restaurant that makes you and your furry friends feel like you're at home... with a five-star chef!

Perfect European-style Hotel

This hotel just had an excellent European feel, with its outdoor courtyard and friendly front desk staff. Our dog was always greeted as warmly as we were and many of the guests enjoyed having her around as well. The neighborhood is the best in DC, with friendly wait staff and plenty of outdoor restaurants that will even cook small doggy meals to go along with yours! And, when you're out walking the neighborhood, you might just run into some DC notables. Overall, this will be our go to hotel for every DC vacation to come!!

Perfect Hotel for the Dog

This was honestly our first time taking our rambunctious, stubborn yet adorable chow-boxer mix on a trip. Even though she's nearing eleven, she still acts like a puppy, and I was so nervous. Of course, while trying to check in, she knocks over the hand sanitizer station, sending the front desk attendant's coffee flying onto the keyboard. Off to a great start, right?! But, the employee (I suck at remembering names, but I am indebted to her forever!) could not have been more gracious, and after that, our lovable little brat settled down and made herself at home. The room had a loud air conditioner, but it was clean and roomy, with plenty of grass for dogs. The quick drive into and out of the city means that you can escape the bustle a bit and not have to worry about parking, and then jump back in the car and in ten minutes, find yourself back in the city center with Fido off to sightsee. Overall, a great place to stay!

Bring your dog to their sidewalk seating!

We stopped here as soon as we arrived in the city because it was near our hotel, and every time we passed, we would again run into our waiter who remembered us and our dog. His kindness was one of the best parts of our trip. Another restaurant employee even came out and offered selections from his own self-styled doggie menu. If you're looking for a restaurant that loves dogs, this is where you should go! (The food and wine are good too!!)
