Was So Nice, Had It Twice

Just an incredible place to bring a dog! All the staff loved Buddy, they brought him a bowl of water both times we went, staff kept coming to say hello to him, even other customers were friendly. And the dog menu was fantastic! Buddy was very well-fed. This is a can't-miss place for dog owners in New Hampshire!

Loved The Atmosphere

Had a picnic table, and Buddy chilled out while we waited for our food. We first ordered a beef hot dog for him, and they offered without bun. He loved it. He also loved the doggy ice cream while we had our human ice creams. He enjoyed meeting some of the other dogs too.

Fantastic Food for Everyone

The hotel is in a great location, and I guess I was facing away from the highway because noise was never an issue. The dead battery in the smoke detector was, and someone was up to my room within a few minutes (and didn't have issue about the dog inspecting him). Breakfast was terrific, and my dog loved when I'd bring up a bowl of sausage. The mac & cheese bar on Tuesday night was fantastic (and the pulled pork topping was a hit with the dog!). They also upgraded me to a 2-bedroom suite, so my dog had lots of room to stretch out and chill out. We were also on the top floor midweek, so we almost never heard anyone outside our room until checkout day. That free breakfast really gives it an edge for dog-friendly Buffalo hotels.

Great Hotel in Great Location

First of all, this is a great location just off the 271 with the new Pinecrest Mall across the highway, where we we had Shake Shack (complete with Poochini). They greeted my dog with a bag of Milk Bones, while a bowl of treats and water greeted him at the front door. The highlight is the hotel is a large square with a large, enclosed grassy area in the middle complete with baggy dispenser and garbage, completely closed off from outside (your dog can't run, and non-canines can't get in). You can take your dog there 24/7 (the 11pm closing is for the patio). (After we stayed, I found out this is the go-to hotel for a relative from Columbus who visits Cleveland regularly).

Great Place in Novi

Happily greeted my puppy. The room was spacious. My dog loves lying on the balcony at home, and he liked that we had a room with a balcony. I didn't get anything from the PAWS program, though we got there at night and stayed only 12 hours.

Terrible Neighborhood For Dogs

The staff try and are very nice, but I can't in good conscience recommend this hotel (or the Kimpton or the Royal Sonesta) to any dog owners. You can try to go to the Riverwalk (closed 11pm-6am), but you have to avoid the big grassy areas, aka the Vietnam Memorial. One front desk person sent me to Millennium Park, or specifically to look for The Bean, but dogs aren't allowed! So you can try Grant Park while is crowded blocks away. Or potters on Wabash. Or cross the bridge to the Trump where the dog run is (if your dog doesn't NEED grass). In fact, most patches of grass you see around the Loop have no dogs allowed signs. Took me over half an hour to find a spot in the $30/day parking garage.

Also, the hotel website pushes you to download their app, so you can control everything in your room from the app. The website says I should be able to use my phone as a key, but they don't offer it. The thermostat connection just gave me an error message. Both the actual TV remote and the in-app remote are laggy and barely work. The light switches are Lutron (a smart brand) but there's no light switch control in the app. Everyone in the hotel loved my pup, they provided a bed and bowls (he refused to eat out of one of them), and the people were pleasant. But my next trip, I'm staying in the suburbs.

Dog Menu and Covid Safe

Had a bowl of water for my pup, and I was able to order off the Dog Menu for him too. He had the Scruffy Scramble. Staff all wanted to say hello to him too. The covered patio had extra fans inside so they also work to keep everyone safe from Covid which was a huge bonus.

Very Dog Friendly!

They were more than happy to bring my pup a bowl of water, and everyone wanted to say hello. (He wasn't the only dog there). Quick note: If you park on the street, you're taking your dog thru the restaurant to the patio. If you park behind the restaurant, you can get right to the patio.

Very Dog Friendly Hotel

From the moment the front desk offered my pup treats until they asked him to stay again, my dog was a VIPuppy for a couple of days. Lots of grass around the hotel for doggy business too, and even the location by the highway and major retailers and restaurants was great.

Still Great in Winter

I asked if they could turn on the heater so we could sit outside, and they said it was OK but asked me to get takeout to make it easy on their servers, which is very fair. Jacob overheard this and jumped up to volunteer to take care of us outside. Brought out a water bowl, gave a free bandana, and the food was quick and tasty too. Fantastic place!

Indoor Fun and Bills Football

Great place for dogs to run around and play indoors. They have no problem letting you step out to get a drink or use the bathroom without your dog. So hilarious to see all these Bills fans staring at the screen while their pooped pooches rest up. Well-maintained - always someone with a mop just a few feet away - and great group of people and dogs when I went. Outdoor area was well-maintained too.
