This was our 2nd visit in a month (don't live in NM) BOTH TIMES I was very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of this park. Not a single pile of poop left behind. Impressive for such a big park. It is VERY well-maintained. Someone filled up buckets if clean water in both parts of the park prior to our 10 a.m. arrival. There were poop bags & clean trash bins provided in multiple locations. It was very easy to find.
The dogs loved it. Lots of open space. Even a few agility pieces there.
There was at least one agility object in the timid dog area also.

Small dog area has sign spe ifying that it's only for dogs 25 lbs and under.
I have 2 dogs in the 45 and 65 lb range that are very timid. As another person commented, there are easily 15 big dogs or more in the general area. My dogs were too scared.
I tried yesterday evening around 7 pm and this morning around 7 am. Both times packed.
Very nice place. Just not for us.

Worth the drive. Large park. Agility items.

Not grassy; some spots were very muddy due to rain.

Visited today with my two dogs. Safe area. Next to dog friendly shop and hotel. Poop bags and shovel provided.

No parking lot. Need to find street parking nearby. There are several close 2-hr parking spaces.

Your description incorrectly says dogs aren't allowed here. I stayed with my 2 dogs and cat. I saw multiple other guests w dogs. Hotel does NOT look like the pictures you've provided. It's 4 or 5 stories tall and clearly has been renovated recently. There was nothing about the room to indicate it's only used for families with pets. I really appreciated that the bed frames were flush with the wall with no space for my cat (or someone's small dog) to go behind and/or under the beds. It's NOT in a great area, but airport hotels generally aren't. I would definitely stay here again.

I contacted the corporate office during my 1 night stay there yesterday. Horrible. Dirty. Safety issues.
The description provided on your site is completely false. I would guess it's been more than a decade since any renovations were done in this run-down hotel. Disrepair: spackled sections on hall and room walls; Floorboards falling off wall in room; doors, floors, door frames and furniture all very scratched & torn up; material around entire perimeter of box spring is torn, shredded, and hanging off, including large holes that would allow a pet to go into box spring; in hall entryway: bracket where hinge of auto-closer on fire door should be was only partially present.

Unclean: hair in sink, pet food on floor, oily smears on headboard, food/drink residue/splashes on walls, dresser, and curtains. Unsafe: no battery in smoke detector, broken auto-closer on fire door in hall, both closet doors off track, no safety features on door to adjoining room other than thumb lock.
Uncomfortable: thin walls--could hear every word, noise and TV character as if they were happening in my room--no ice machine could be found on the 1st floor.

Signage could be better to direct you to the park...but once there, you'll love it.
Both the main dog area and the timid dog area are huge and full of trees. There are shaded places to sit. There's a water source in each of the areas. Bathrooms are close by.
The dogs loved it.
