My husband and I spend more time and money at places that are dog friendly. Places that welcome dogs of all types and don't have a lot of rules (like that small dogs can't sit on your lap, or that people with dogs are relegated to the least pleasant part of the outdoor seating area) are really appreciated. As the saying goes - if I can't bring my dogs, I don't want to go.

Could Be More Dog Friendly

Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe

We love this place for the fantastic food, and they used to be very dog friendly so we were there a lot and spent a lot of money. But something changed within the last year or so and they instituted all these rules like dogs could only sit at tables by sidewalk (what if it’s raining???) and they cannot sit in your lap (which my tiny chihuahua always does) and so now we go much less because we want to eat some place truly dog friendly. I wish the owners would reconsider their rules because we do miss going more often.

Paw Friendly Environment And Food

Rock & Brews

Not only is it nice to be somewhere that expressly welcomes our four legged friends, but has a menu for them too!! We love to take our 3 pups and listen to music on the weekends and order them a couple chicken breasts from the dog menu. The human food and adult beverages are really good too!!

Perfect Pup Place

Miyako Sushi Bar & Hibachi Grill

There are only a few tables for outside dining with pups but it is covered so it doesn’t matter if it rains. Food is wonderful, staff extremely accommodating and we bring our 3 pups there regularly because it is such a pleasant experience every time.

Excellent Food And Friendly Staff

Torino's Pizza

We have been coming to this restaurant for years and bringing our 3 dogs. The dog area is very small and there is no covering if it rains except a large umbrella but it is excellent for a fur family lunch or dinner on a nice day. The food is fantastic and the people are extremely friendly.

Food, drink and service excellent!!!

Carmel's Restaurant and Bar

This restaurant was wonderful - the people were super friendly and genuinely seemed to like dogs. The food was so good - especially the fried green tomatoes and flight of local brews. And our chihuahua enjoyed watching all the other dogs around us. Definitely worth checking it out!

Pup-tastic Day!

Biltmore Estate

We took our chihuahua to Biltmore and spent the whole day. They don't allow dogs in the house itself but otherwise we were welcome in all the gardens, on the patios of the restaurants and they even let us bring him to wine tasting and in the store (although he was in his dog "purse" versus on his leash and you hardly knew he was even there because he doesn't bark and just watches). It was a lovely day and he was definitely worn out.

Excellent pup-venture...

Historic Gray Line Asheville Trolley Tours

We took our chihuahua on the ghost tour and we had a great time. No issues whatsoever with having our small dog with us, but definitely only bring a true lapdog because space is a bit tight..
