Loved it, glad I had a dog first aid kit
Falls ParkWe all had a great time here. There is so much to explore. My pup did cut his shin on a rock in the water, so thankfully I had a first aid kit with me, but it was nothing major, and likely due to his over enthusiasm, more than anything else. Definitely check this park out if you’re visiting Sioux Falls, SD.
Awesome all around
Killian's Food & DrinkI highly recommend this place, whether you have your dog with you or not. The food was outstanding, we loved eating on the cute outdoor patio on a lovely fall night. The waitress was so sweet to bring our pup some water to quench his thirst, just all around a great place.
They let your dog sleep here
Best Western Black Hills LodgeThe only thing dog friendly about this place is they let your dog sleep here. It’s right off the highway and basically in a residential neighborhood. There is no where to really walk your dog, even to let them go to the bathroom, much less any space to let them roam. They also don’t bother to put you on a lower level, or anywhere near an exit door. We were literally in the middle of the hotel, one the second floor of a hotel that also has no elevator, making it not very kid friendly either, as those who travel with kids know you have to travel with a lot of stuff. Also, our bathroom door squeaked loudly every time you opened it, making it awfully problematic to have to to go the bathroom when others in the room are sleeping. Also, our door often got stuck and had to be tried multiple times or forced open. I did tell the front desk about these maintenance issues when we checked out, but they should have been addressed before we checked in. They serve a minimal, continental style cold breakfast.
Great place to stay
La Quinta by Wyndham BozemanThis place is conveniently located right off the highway and just across the street from the gas station. It’s not a far drive to where the restaurants are either. Its the moves La Quinta I’ve stayed in, it was really clean and comfortable and they have dog treats for your pup in the lobby. For breakfast, right next to the breakfast area, where a full hot meal is offered, there’s some couches, chairs, and even a counter with stools to sit at, so your dog can join you. I definitely recommend staying here, it was a true 5 star experience for us.
Most dog friendly place we stayed
The CodyWe did a 10 day family road trip and in my opinion, this was the most dog friendly experience. I think it’s so cute they put steps by the bed so the dogs can get up on the tall beds easily. We were in the back corner, right by a door that took us right out to the grassy dog area. They had a full, delicious breakfast, and while the dog isn’t allowed in the breakfast area, obviously, they had a big table in the lobby that we could sit at and all be together. It was conveniently right across the street from the chuck wagon dinner we went to that night at The Cody Cattle Company. And it was one of the nicest dog friendly places we stayed on the whole trip as well. Hands down better than a Best Western.
Nice, clean, and dog friendly
Best Western Plus Riverfront Hotel and SuitesThis was a great place to stay with our dog. There’s a pizza place right next door, so that’s a handy option for dinner. My dog loved the river walk that is right out back. Super convenient and a nice view.
Not bad, nothing special
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Sioux Falls - Airport an IHG HotelThe room was clean and they allow dogs. The breakfast provided is at the restaurant next door, which is not dog friendly, but is good. we literally got in late, slept here, got breakfast to go, because we couldn’t take the dog in, and left. Nothing wrong with this place at all, but I would’ve preferred to stay closer to the Falls Park and accidentally booked this place instead.
