Exceptional hotel
Lorien Hotel & SpaWe arrived late due to bad crash on the I-95!! We were greeted by two very smiley receptionists who checked us in quickly so that we could get to our room. The night manager brought us a bowl for our dog. And creamer for my coffee. Showered and washed my hair. My hair is silky smooth. Must be softened water. We had breakfast in the restaurant. My omelette was delicious. The building was pretty. We parked right outside on the street; free overnight - metered from 8am. Thought the rate was reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.
Dog Friendly - Great Food
Whitney's DelicatessenNew restaurant at the north end of Longboat Key. Outdoor seating welcomes your pooch. Our golden retriever, Alfie was greeted with water bowl, dog cookies and lots of attention.
Whitney’s serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at a cool setting. Revamped gas station has become a retro diner. Friendly staff, manager Sandra is delightful, and busy kitchen welcome you with tasty fare. The avocado toast was delicious, laced with cilantro and Fresno peppers. Great coffee too. My new favourite on Longboat Key. Close-by is a dog beach at the top of Broadway. Alfie was in heaven.
