Pet Fee expensive

Extremely disappointing stay, not truly pet-friendly and poor housekeeping. I stayed 4 nights at Drury Hotel Gainesville with my dog and paid $65 per day in pet fees. For a property that markets itself as pet-friendly, the experience was surprisingly restrictive—dogs are not allowed in elevators or common areas, which makes moving around the hotel very inconvenient.

Housekeeping was below basic expectations. During my entire stay, the bed was never made—only used towels were removed. This is not acceptable for a hotel at this price point. My dog was never left alone in the room, so there was no reason to limit cleaning service. Additionally, even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly displayed on multiple occasions, staff still attempted to enter, which was uncomfortable.

The amenities also did not meet expectations. The swirl pool and sauna had almost no water pressure (only hot water), making them essentially unusable. The pool itself was just average. Breakfast was okay but nothing memorable.

The only positive aspect was the staff, who were friendly and polite. Overall, I paid $914.59 for 4 nights, which I consider very overpriced for the level of service and maintenance provided. Based on this experience, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others—especially travelers with pets.
