I have two high-energy dogs with strong tracking/hunting instincts and they that love to explore.

There are large areas for running and playing. Water fountains for dogs and humans and restrooms nearby.

A hill to challenge climbers, poopy bags, and rest rooms/porta-johns across street.

The fenced in area at the welcome center was a disappointment but after we went into town, we found this park and it was a nice for our dogs to be on thick grass and able to run and have fun.

Nice little park. One of my dogs was looking for real lawn or dirt to poop on and went on the gravel bordering the perimeter. Plenty of water and poop bags. People cleaned up after the puppies.

Water fountains and poop bags are provided. Large dog and small dog areas are provided. Plenty of grass, shade and benches to sit on.

Plenty of grass, shade, and squirrels up the trees, and plenty of open grass acreage. Water for drinking and washing your dogs and restrooms.

Grass was thin but it wasn’t desert landscaping. Rain a few days before kept dust down. Poopy bag dispensers were empty and the water fountain was turned off. Restrooms near by across the park.

Good size park to let my big dogs run and stretch.

Hill isn’t bad at all and my dogs explored the whole park.

I don’t understand how this place received so many 5 Bones ratings. It was very dry, extremely dusty, poop all over, no poop bags, and only one trash can servicing this very large area at the entrance and the water was already turned off. The parking lot is covered with a very fine white powder so we made shoe prints in the car. I can imagine how the rain and snow will make mud all over.
Nice place to stop and stretch the puppies. Lots of grass. Outer fence area will get muddy after a rain. To find park, drive around the soccer fields and follow the dog park sign.

Good place to stop unless there was a recent rain…then muddy all over. Today was just dusty.

Nice, big, clean, has dog water fountain and by the picnic tables under the shelter is a large air conditioned family restroom.

On a hill side so it made my 3 stretch more after a long day traveling. Water fountain was a welcome relief for them after running. Be sure to drive Main Street and see historic Abington.

See photos. There’s a much bigger park in town. Follow Chestnut and cross the bridge over the railroad. You will see three large silos on the left (south). Look down and you will see a nice park and turn left at the first light off the bridge. Circle around and go into the large parking lot. The park has lots of shade and grass, water fountains, picnic tables and exercise/training gadgets.

Plenty of poopy bags available. All pea gravel dog park. People have kept the grounds clean.

From Francis Street turn south onto Union and go to the end and turn right into the parking lot. Very large and clean. Sandy surface. This park is maintained by community volunteers. Park has a Hydrant and a port-a-John is nearby.

This dog park turned out to be a very pleasant surprise! The 3 dogs had a great time riding running and searching all the areas and found something to chase under the storage container. They crawled underneath but couldn’t reach the critter. Take some water in with you.

I originally gave this park a 5 but with all the clearing of the thick shrubs and trees, I give it a 3. The clearing of the small trees and bush in the last 3 years is a great example of making a great park into an average one. Both sides of the large dog areas are now clear of bushes and small trees. In the spring dogs used to blaze lots in of paths and tunnels through the under growth and tall grass. Now they lose interest quickly since the area is mostly lawn with little area to explore. I used to go there 3 or 4 times a week traveling 12 miles one way but my dogs don’t run and explore like they used to so it’s not worth my time to take them there. Another problem is the reduced amount of shade. The hot sunny days are a little brutal.

Great for running but not too interesting for my girls.

Both my girls got their paws stuck which made them limp and they had to stop to chew them out. Stay was short.

Nice little park and heavily used.

This location has a lot of bare ground that will turn muddy when it rains.

Nice park but there is too much poop left all over.

Stopped for the first time and my dogs had a great time. One is a swimmer so next time I’ll let her into the pond area. The pond water is a little murky and there are some muddy areas but there’s a small stream outside so of the fenced pond with clear running water where I can rinse her off. I’ll wear my boots next time and take in a large plastic container to pick up the stream water to wash off the mud.

Lots of dogs were there and the grounds and restrooms were very clean. Grass was thin so it could be muddy after a rain.

Convenient location and easily found. Provided a nice break for my dogs to stretch and relieve themselves after a long drive.

I stopped here in the Spring to give my two girls a break after a long travel day. I was there for over an hour and a half because one of them was having so much fun she didn’t want to leave. They love running and playing in the water and just exhausted themselves. I assumed they would get muddy and was planning to bathe them at the motel. It was worth the trouble!

I spent the week in OC and took my two girls for a walk around the park every day. We went out in the Boardwalk and enjoyed seeing people crabbing and fishing.

Since both of my dogs enjoy the water, the BringFido lake description peaked my interest so on my trip to Maryland, I traveled a little out of my way to give them an hour break there. I took water to rinse them off but didn’t need it. The beach sand was not muddy and the lake water fairly clear so they may have come out cleaner than when they went in! I plan to stop there for a break again on my next trip.

The park is near the water tower. The given address takes you to the apartments at the west end of the street. After a quick exploration of the grounds, my two girls were ready to leave. If your dog likes playing with strangers or chasing a ball, this may be a good stop for you. Mine love to explore and search so this was not a good park for them.
