I had some difficulties with travel and arrived late. I checked in at the night desk. Abruptly, the attendant told me that check-in was only at 3pm and that I would not be able to stay. It was in the wee hours of the morning and I really needed sleep. He said, “Check your reservation.” I reminded him that is when the check-in time begins. He then corrected his statement, but said that I must take a double bed room, but did not clarify why. He then very rudely kept stating that I would need to leave by 11am checkout. I kept acknowledging, yes, I would be out by the 11am checkout time. He kept reiterating this so much and then drew a signature line on the receipt for my room and had me sign it, even though this is not protocol. I asked him to please stop stating this and repeated I understood, but he would not stop. I was so tired, I just let it go. I slept for a few hours and left. When I checked out at 11:05, a friendlier desk attendant asked how my stay was. I reported the rudeness of my night check in experience and she responded, “Oh, that’s the owner. He is like that. I’m sorry.” It is really bad when the employees are apologizing for the owner!

As always, Red Roof continues to be a place we can count on to be safe, comfortable, and offer privacy. We love it!

This is a relatively new hotel and it was a lovely respite on our journey. The location was close to a lot of shopping needs for our camping and hiking trip, so that was a plus! The staff was helpful in guiding me to locations to have better door access. Highly recommend!

Definitely a serviceable location close to hiking we needed! However, the staff was unavailable and never present in the office. For a female traveling alone with her dog, this was scary. When my door handle and lock was not secure and a man appeared to be following me, I felt I had to barricade myself inside with furniture and leave lights on all night with the TV blaring to be safe. Sleep did not happen for me or for my dog. I will not be returning.

The staff was friendly at this location and was willing to give us a first floor room for easy access to exit for potty breaks. Affordable, but also comfortable. Saved our camping adventure. Thank you Bring Fido and Red Roof Inn!

Our pups really enjoyed their stay at the Westin Portland Harborview. The staff was friendly and greeted our two dogs celebrating their birthdays with treats and pets.
