Nice room and friendly host, but...

The room was clean, the bed comfortable enough, and the host checking us in was super friendly and nice to our fur-baby, but the outside of the hotel could use some cleaning up. They offer a dog walk area but it is small and at the far end of the hotel where the dumpsters are, so there was trash scattered where you're supposed to walk your dog. Also, you could tell that other pet owners weren't bothering to walk all the way down to the dog walk area because some pets had relieved themselves in the parking lot (and while I don't blame the hotel for irresponsible pet owners not picking up after their dogs, it's just an observation of what can happen if the pet amenities/waste stations are too far to get to). We ended up driving our dog to a nearby mall parking lot that had a nice grassy area beside the parking lot so our dog could relieve herself and we appropriately picked up and disposed of.
