The feel good cafe is so cute

Feel Good Cafe

We ate here multiple times while staying at the Bavarian Inn (definitely recommend the hotel for a nice stay) and the service was great (they let us sit outside on the patio and inside when it rained, with our small dog on leash. Get the Honey bee Latte and the blueberry lemon muffin. The burritos are good also.

Lovely winery

Prairie Berry Winery

Amazing charcuterie plate paired with the rhubarb wines. We were allowed on the back patio with the pup and it was a nice area. Luckily we have older kids who stayed outside to watch the dog while us adults went inside for the complimentary wine tasting. It was a lovely place and I highly recommend if you enjoy small wine tastings.

Subpar Food

Mustang Sally's

Patio is the largest in Deadwood that we found so it was convenient to sit outside with the dog. Everything is pretty much fried or burgers. We ordered fried mushrooms and mini corn dogs that tasted like microwave meals re-heated in oil. My son had chicken strips and fries that he said were pretty good. We didn’t order drinks but you can get alcohol there.

Best food we had in Deadwood

Jacobs Brewhouse & Grocer

Food was really good, especially the tomato soup and bread tasting app. Wine and beer were also great. They let us eat inside with our pup in her stroller and offered a doggie menu. Definitely a good stop.

Great park

Bear Country USA

So exciting to see all the animals that close! Our pup did get a little excited seeing the bears but she didn’t freak out like I thought she might. Must have two adults so you can trade off watching the dog when you go see the baby bears and caged animals. But there’s a very nice park area to hang out with your pup while you wait. We (family of 4) loved this attraction.

Glamping FUN

Fish 'N Fry Campground, Cabins and Cafe'

This was a great place to stay with our 2 kids (over age 10) and 1yr old puppy. We stayed in a tiny house cabin (The Chalet) that had electricity and a little space heater. Beds enough for about 5 ppl. It was our pups first camping experience and she loved it. The entire camp area is ‘small dog’ friendly and the pet fee was only $10. Bathroom and showers are in a separate area but easy to get to and very clean. You can fish for your dinner and they’ll cook it. They were very accommodating with our daughters peanut allergy and the fish tasted fantastic. The staff are all so friendly. Definitely recommend if you enjoy roughing it a bit in a glamping type setting. So pretty and quaint.
