During both stays we enjoyed a quick sign-in process and ground floor rooms in close proximity to the pet relief areas. The hotel itself is okay, nothing special but a decent option when traveling with pets.

This hotel combines extraordinary pet friendliness with world class service and style, truly amazing. Perfect location for walking, shopping, eating, a dog park just across the river to meet and play with the locals and so much more. The rooms are beautiful as is the view (ocean side). Upon checking in, the pet bag with toy, bags and collapsing bowl is presented and then if desired a pet bed is brought to the room. Highly recommend!

Having never before stayed at a La Quinta Inn & Suites, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and amenities offered. The rooms included a small fridge with freezer (recharge ice packs), a small microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom featured stone both on the vanity and enclosing the shower walls which is a nice touch. The beds are not too bad comfort wise and the free breakfast is…well…free breakfast so don’t expect much. The check-in process was efficient even with additional pet papers to sign (all very reasonable policies), staff was friendly, and the dog relief area was a bit small but had bags and a disposal box ready so the late evening “business” was made easier.

Check-in with pet was easy, just an additional form to sign with the pet policy and rules (common sense stuff) and off to the room. Basic but functional areas around the hotel for Fido’s business with pickup bags provided. Otherwise this was a typical Hyatt Place. Not the newest but not bad.

had a quick lunch at Hofbräuhaus in Helen and really enjoyed the pet friendly staff. table with enough shade, big bowl of water and just a pleasant attention to detail.
