Sunset Beach

Paw prints can be found in the sand from leashed dogs at the pet-friendly Sunset Beach in Cape May, NJ from mid-September through March. This beach is a popular attraction due to its proximity to the concrete ship SS Atlantus, which has been "grounded" at Cape May Point since 1926. You'll also find gift shops and restaurants nearby. TripAdvisor Traveller Rating
TripAdvisor

Sunset Beach is rated 3.3 bones out of 5 by 14 canine critics on BringFido, and 4.5 stars out of 5 by 46 guests on TripAdvisor.

Customers praise Sunset Beach as a peaceful and scenic dog-friendly destination with calm bay waters and considerate visitors, though seasonal restrictions limiting dog access from April or May through September have disappointed many. Some visitors note the beach features pebbles rather than sand, occasional enforcement confusion regarding gift shop policies, and recommend arriving early as parking fills quickly.
