Dog Friendly Beaches in Melville, NY

Playland Beach is a dog-friendly beach located on the grounds of Playland Park Amusement Park in Rye, NY. Dogs are welcome to join their owners on the beach from October 1st until May 4th, before the park is open for the season. There is a limit of 3 dogs for each owner, and dog walking services are prohibited all year round. Make sure you keep Fido on a leash under six feet.

After Labor Day until March 15, leashed dogs can join you on bayside beaches at the Fire Island Lighthouse in Bay Shore, NY. Pets are restricted from ocean beaches during the spring and summer months due to nesting birds. Dogs are not permitted inside the lighthouse or buildings, but you can enjoy exploring the pet-friendly coastal trails together.

Bayley Beach is a dog-friendly beach located inside Neville Bayley Park in Norwalk, CT. Bayley Beach was once a part of Roton Point Amusement Park, and is now a popular day-use area. Fido is welcome to join you for a stroll along the beach, but please note that dogs are only allowed in the park from November 1 to March 31.
