Parc Bordelais is dog-friendly. This 19th-century park is home to over 3,000 trees and numerous activities for children such as a petting zoo with farm animals and a small train. Leashed dogs are also allowed to join their owners on the pathways that wind around this pretty park. Well-behaved pups can even sit and enjoy a puppet show when the weather is nice. The park can be accessed every day of the week from 7am until 8pm.

Although not officially a dog park, the grassy areas along the river between the Place du Marché and the Water Mirror are great places for walking your dog. Many breeds, large and small, gather off-leash on the lawns. While, officially, off-leash is not allowed there is a general tolerance as long as the dog is socialized and well- behaved. There are plenty of dog waste bag dispensers and water fountains along the way. Another great thing is that you can travel on all public transport (bus, tramway and even boat!) with your dog and free of charge.

Domaine Mounier is dog friendly. The Domaine is located in the town of Saint-Fort-sur-Gironde next to Port Maubert and halfway between Talmont and Blaye. Dogs are welcome to join you as you taste Chardonnay and Merlot wines.
