Dogs are allowed unleashed on the estate, except in the cellar, where the wines are vinified and aged in barrel. In the cellar, dogs must be on a leash. Chateau du Petit Thouars recommends the Picnic in the Vines Tour and Tasting to dog owners, as it allows them to picnic outside with their pet at a dressed table in the vineyard.
