Located along the shore of the Androscoggin River within Thirteen Mile Woods Scenic Area, this recreation area is not just popular among dogs and their owners, but also moose and other wild animals. Pet Friendly Pillsbury State Park
Pillsbury State Park Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Pillsbury State Park in Washington, NH. This pet-friendly area is one of the more primitive state parks in New Hampshire, but just because it's lesser known doesn't mean it's not beautiful. There are wooded trails that loop around several ponds in the park, ideal for pups who enjoy exploring. Despite popular belief, the park isn't named after the Dough Boy. See Details
Bedell Bridge State Historic Site Bedell Bridge State Historic Site is a pet-friendly spot in Haverhill, NH. This 74-acre park is a popular spot to check out with Fido. Formerly the Burr truss-covered bridge site spanned the Connecticut River between Newbury, Vermont and Haverhill from 1805. Nowadays, you and your pup can hike around the area and look at the remains of the bridge. See Details
Hannah Duston Memorial Historic Site Visit the pet-friendly Hannah Duston Memorial Historic Site, located on a small island at the confluence of the Contoocook and Merrimack Rivers in Boscawen, NH. This statue erected in 1874 commemorates the escape of Hannah Duston, who was captured in 1697 in Haverhill, Massachusetts during the French and Indian War. Tucked away in this 400-acre park, you and your pup can discover the Hogback Trail that takes you through ponds, bogs and forests. EKAL Activity Center Dogs are welcome to join their owners at the EKAL Activity Center located inside Mills Falls Marketplace in Meredith, NH. Their kayaks and canoes are pet-friendly, so Fido can join in the fun on the water around Meredith Bay. The fee for canoes and solo kayak rentals is $35 per hour, $45 for a half day, and $65 for a full day. Double kayaks are $55 per hour, $65 for a half day, and $85 for a full day. Unfortunately, the SUP rentals do not permit dogs on board. See Details
Stonewall Farm Stonewall Farm is a pet-friendly destination in Keene, NH. Leashed dogs are welcome to visit the farm and enjoy the trails. For the safety and health of the farm animals, dogs are not permitted in the animal barns. Horses may use the trails for riding, but trailer parking may be limited on event days. Winslow State Park Bring Fido to the dog-friendly Winslow State Park, located on the northwest slope of Mt. Kearsarge in Wilmot, NH. Stop for a picnic with your pooch on the 1,820-foot plateau with outstanding views of the White Mountains to the north and central Vermont peaks. You'll also be able to get up close and personal with the nearby Mt. Sunapee, Ragged Mountain and Pleasant Lake. Dogs are welcome on the one-mile foot trail that leads from the picnic area to the summit of Mt. Kearsarge. There are other trails available too. Spread over 40 acres of woods and open fields, Fido is welcome to join you as you explore the terrain and enjoy a game of disc golf on three available courses. Connecticut Lakes Headwaters Working Forest Dogs are welcome to join their owners at the pet-friendly Connecticut Lakes Headwaters Working Forest in Pittsburg, NH. Jump on one of the many trails and take an afternoon hike with your pooch. Leashed pets can join their owners throughout the park, as long as all mess is cleaned up after them. See Details
Nansen Ski Jump State Historic Site Nansen Ski Jump State Historic Site, also known as the Sleeping Giant, in Milan, NH, is pet-friendly. Constructed between 1936-38, this used to be one of the foremost ski jumps in the whole country. Skiers would race down the hill at high speeds and fling themselves from the jump. The ski jump has a 171-foot steel frame tower and supports a 310-foot runway. You won't see anybody going down the jump these days, as it's been out of use since 1988, but you can still explore the area with your pooch and imagine the competitions that have gone on here in the past. Some regeneration is underway of the dilapidated area. See Details
Weirs Drive-In Theater Bring Fido along for movie night at the dog-friendly Weirs Drive-In Theater in Laconia, NH. This seasonal drive-in has four screens and a snack bar. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you in your car while you watch, but need to be leashed while walking around the property. See Details
Patch Orchards Patch Orchards is a family-owned and pet-friendly farm in rural Lebanon, NH. Bring Fido along for seasonal festivities on the spacious property. Miller State Park Bring Fido to the dog-friendly Miller State Park in Peterborough, NH. The oldest state park in New Hampshire, this woodland wonderland is covered in winding trails of varying lengths. The longest trail in the park is the Wapack Trail, a 21-mile footpath that extends from Mt. Watatic in Ashburnham, Massachusetts to North Pack Monadnock in Greenfield.
