Dog Friendly Hiking Trails in Argillite, KY

Shawnee State Park's dog park can be found at the Campground & Marina entrance in West Portsmouth, OH. It's a great spot for Fido to run, play and socialize with other dogs in the community! The park is fully fenced and includes separate areas for large and small dogs, each with agility equipment, doggy playgrounds, benches, waste stations, and water access.

Iron Ore Trailhead West is a dog-friendly trail situated within Armco Park in Ashland, KY. This 3.7-mile loop is considered moderately challenging and is best traversed from March to November. The trail is popular with dog walkers, bird watchers, hikers and runners. Pets are permitted to be off-leash in certain areas.

Shawnee State Forest, known as "The Little Smokies of Ohio," spans over 60,000 acres, making it the largest state forest in Ohio.
