Description
Chilcoot Campground is located five miles outside of the town of Chilcoot, California, and four miles from the Frenchman Lake Recreation Area, along the Little Last Chance Creek. Facilities provided include restrooms, campsites, and a trail along the lake. The approximate season of use is from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Popular activities include swimming and fishing. Pets are allowed at all sites, but must be leashed at all times. Directions: From Reno, Nevada take Highway 395 north to Highway 70, turn west on Highway 70, travel 5 miles to Chilcoot, California. Turn north on Highway 284, travel 5 miles to Chilcoot Campground.
