Notes from the host
Eagle Cap Farms Is a Magical Place
Retreat to a 124-acre farm in a modern farmhouse between Joseph & Enterprise. Enjoy mountain views, heated floors, rain shower, quartz counters, & mechanical blinds. Meet alpacas, goats & chickens. Dog-friendly with fenced yard, bed, blanket, ball, treats & bowls. Unwind with books, coffee, tea, popcorn & outdoor patio. Wallowa River on-site; outdoor activities nearby. A Joseph area gem, as per guest reviews.
- We are proud to be dog friendly. We ask that you keep your pups on leash as our alpacas and chickens are easily scared.
- Feel free to go see our animals.
- There is a full RV hook up right next to the house that can be added to your reservation for an extra $65 a night.
- Please note that this is a working farm. Daily someone will be on the property to take care of the animals etc. However you will have full exclusive use of the fenced yard and home (except once a week when the lawn is mowed).
- Currently between the house and the river we are digging a pond. Some days there will be equipment digging more of the pond out and / or trucks taking some of the excavated materials off property. When guests are present we will limit pond work to Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- There is an RV on the property on the other side of one of our barns for our caretaker.
Check in is allowed any time after 3:00 pm and Checkout is required no later than 11:00 am. We are often able to offer early check in up to 2 hours for a fee of $15/hour and late check out up to 2 hours for $15/hour. if you would like to arrange for early check in and/or late check out, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request

Todd & Andy McKee, The McKee Brothers, own and operate Eagle Cap Farms which is part of Eagle Cap Vacation Rentals. They both live in Wallowa County, near Joseph and are available to be onsite quickly if a need arises.
Eagle Cap Farms is located about 1 mile off of highway 82 between Enterprise and Joseph at the end of a gravel road. The nearest home on the gravel road is about 3/4 of a mile away. The house provides the solitude of not being too close to other houses and being on a large piece of property while still being 10 minutes or less from Joseph or Enterprise.
This is a pet-friendly home, but we do have policies to adhere to to ensure that we can continue to offer this amazing benefit to future guests. Please inform us at the time of booking if you will be bringing a pet. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the property should you fail to do this. There is a $30 nightly fee per dog (ESA animals included) that will be collected prior to check-in. This is refundable should your pet no longer be accompanying you after the fee is paid.
Please note that pets are not allowed on the furniture, nor are they allowed to be left unattended in the unit unsupervised.

Here are some reviews from past guests.
"Peaceful!! Best way to describe this stay. The house was exactly as described. We loved the vibe, the location, and the view! The view of the mountains was unbelievable. The hosts were extremely friendly. We will definitely stay here again! It's a must stay in the Joseph area." - Taj
"Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. The furniture and bed were super comfortable and there was a lot of attention to detail in the design and décor in the home, even custom made pottery dishes. The amenities were so thoughtful and appreciated! The house feels very private as it is set back off the main road. It was nice to step outside into the quiet; no city or traffic noise. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains, the plethora of white tail deer, and our jaunt down to the river to explore. We also enjoyed visiting the alpacas. There was for a container of treats in the house that you can take to feed them. This vacation rental is by far the most dog friendly that I've stayed at. The dog bed, blanket, ball, treats, poo bags, and food / water bowls was incredibly thoughtful! I love that the kitchen and bathroom cabinet hardware has tiny dog prints. My German Shepherd, Rick James, gives it his pawprints of approval.🐾🐕" - Sara
"My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! The house is tucked away with a stunning view of the mountains and Joseph landscape. The house is beautifully made, with the sweetest touches throughout the house. It’s obvious to see the love that was put into making the home. The house was modern, new, and very clean. One of the highlights of the trip was feeding their alpacas and goats, which is just a short walk from the house. We also enjoyed the books, coffee, tea, and popcorn left out. There was even treats and a bed for our dog. The owner was incredibly kind. We loved it so much that we want to visit again in the summer!" - Tina
"Amazing escape on a secluded farm. Very peaceful and a great place to disconnect. Close to both Joseph and Enterprise for great food options. Plenty of outdoor options nearby as well. Would definitely recommend this cabin for people looking to unplug." Henry
