The Happy Eagle is located on a quiet stretch of coastline where the Sekiu River meets the Strait of Juan de Fuca, between the fishing towns of Sekiu and Neah Bay. This is one of the most scenic and unspoiled areas of the Olympic Peninsula, known for its natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and outdoor adventure.
Guests love the peaceful setting with easy access to beaches, hiking trails, and world-class fishing. Popular nearby destinations include Cape Flattery (the northwesternmost point in the continental U.S.), Olympic National Park, Lake Ozette, and the Hoh Rainforest—all within a scenic drive. Guests have full, private use of The Happy Eagle beach house, including the interior living space, private deck with outdoor seating, and gas grill. You'll also have access to our shared park-like grounds and private beach, just 50 feet away across the lawn. Free parking is available on-site for vehicles or trailers. Kayaks and paddleboards may be available for guest use on a first-come basis. The beach and outdoor areas may be shared with a few other guests staying on the property.

Inside, enjoy cozy coastal style with leather seating, a teak poster bed with king mattress, and a full pullout sleeper — comfortably sleeping up to 4 guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with quality cookware, a dishwasher, and everything you need to cook and dine in comfort. Thick towels, soft linens, and thoughtful touches provide a relaxed, upscale experience.
Outside, your private seating area includes a gas grill and space to unwind under the stars. Watch bald eagles, seals, river otters, and blue herons right from your window.

This is an 8 acre lot with a wide driveway and lots of space to park boat trailers and RVs. Summer temperatures vary between 60-75 degrees.
UNLESS YOU BOOK THROUGH AIRBNB, once you have booked, your booking confirmation will include your TRUVI booking validation link. The validation process includes ID verification and short-term rental insurance with your choice of $500 refundable deposit, or $35 non-refundable damage waiver . Guests who book through Airbnb have this built into your 15% Airbnb fee, thus no additional insurance or ID verification is required.

A well supplies the water. Like most coastal wells the water has a tint varying between a green tea and a weak black tea. It is chlorinated and goes through a triple filter and is even safe to drink. Nevertheless we provide drinking water via a water cooler with Olympic Springs
